Bride Chidi Ogbuta of Allen, Texas had this life-sized wedding cake made to look just like her for her September 2007 wedding. These amazing pics are just making the rounds of the Internet now. I don't know how it took so long, because this cake is incredible! I love it. I think it came off well, and I give her props for such an unusual cake and dress.
Both great ideas had the potential to come off very tacky, but I think the results are actually positively dazzling. Would you agree?

I agree with Essence....this is too ghetto...nothing classy about that wedding cake at all except for the bottom...top part of cake looking like her out of line...she's already the center of attention because it's her day but who wants to look at her in an image of a cake also?...get real!...talk about scary looking is right....different strokes for different folks though.

My people, my people...can you believe we are talkin more about this cake than we are about our futher president. I'm loving it because I'm the cake designer that did the cake. It is awesome to me because I don't care what people say as long as they are saying something. This wedding was September 22, 2007 and almost 5 months later people are still talking about this cake. I'm loving this. No one is keeping in mind it was only a cake. Chidi paid cash and it was her money. She didn't pull a Star Jones move and have a 2++ million dollar wedding and everyone else paid for it by sponsoring it. I don't know how much Chidi's total wedding costed but it was nothing out of the ordinary for weddings. In the words of the late James Brown..."It's Chidi's thang and she can do what she want to do...Ya'll can't tell her who to sock it to.
Ya'll be blessed, and be sweet!

What is that stuff in front of her dress? Paisley????
In some ways it is a bit ghetto.
Don't get me wrong - whoever made the cake is very talented. It is a bit much. Like it was stated before, what part of the cake will they keep? What about the groom's cake? Is it like that also????
OH WELL --- WHATEVER ..........

I think it is creative, but just a bit much your wedding is suppose to be about the both of you why could'nt she have a cake made of the both of them?

The person that made the cake is creative. Something I would not want for my wedding cake. It does look a little scary. It's not only the bride's day but the groom as well. Who wants to eat the bride besides the groom...will she save the top for a year...eerie. May God bless the union between them.

The cake is nice for a birthday party for herself but for the wedding "NO" that is just wrong it's his day just as much as hers why not have a smaller cake made with his face to.LOL

To answer the comment WHY NO GROOM CAKE... Chidi wanted the groom done as well but we simply ran out of time. She was not selfish at all and nor was she full of herself. After we didn't get to make the grooms cake in the likeness of the groom there was really not a cake that I could have done to hold a candle stick to the bride cake. This was not there wedding it was there vow renewal.
