Bride Chidi Ogbuta of Allen, Texas had this life-sized wedding cake made to look just like her for her September 2007 wedding. These amazing pics are just making the rounds of the Internet now. I don't know how it took so long, because this cake is incredible! I love it. I think it came off well, and I give her props for such an unusual cake and dress.
Both great ideas had the potential to come off very tacky, but I think the results are actually positively dazzling. Would you agree?

One of the seven great wonders in this world that I have ever seen. When creativity and passion meet (which they rarley do) it has to be something wonderful! To the Groom-she is a keeper, love and cherish your queen, to the Bride words are not enough,
but if I may KUDOS to you and I pray that your union is blessed and highly favored. And to all you HATERS,
find you somebody and MAKE A CAKE!!!

I think she was very crative with her Wedding. She is not a shy person and besides "some" only have one wedding day.For the person that made the comment that she's getto;get a life if you know all those details then'that makes me wonder about you.#1Rich white people are famous for the hair spritz; espicially on their wedding day .You got to make sure your hair stays whipped, what kind of spritz are you using that $1.99 stuff.#2 shes creative and #3Having a baby out of wed does not make you getto maybe stupid but not getto.Smart rich and just all kinds of ****are having babies out of wedlock.Im not excusing it but come up with better material.

The name suggest the Bride and Groom are Nigerians, (Africans) so the cake does not surprise me. In Africa weddings are celebrated a little differently than in America. African weddings are flamboyant, or as elaborate as they can afford and a little "over the top"... if they can afford it. It's a time for a family with money to show it. When it comes to Weddings and Funerals, Africans don't hold back. It's part of the Culture. Weddings and Funerals really means much to them, JUST the Culture, so don't knock it. I'm Amrican, but I had the honor of attending an African Wedding in Ghana, west africa and Washington, DC.

Ok I get that the bride gets what she wants on her big day...however a cake that is an exact duplicate of herself. Isn't that just a little conceited. I mean what about the groom? Why isn't this day exactly as important to him? Where is his statue of himself? Where did they put the rest of the cake? I doubt that they ate ALL of that cake. They would have to store it in a HUGE walk-in freezer. COME ON!!

Tacky isn't the word, I think this is beyond tacky and I think she should erect a lifetime statue to herself in her trailer park.......please!
