MAC Cosmetics recently launched their limited edition Heatherette makeup collection so the other night they threw a disco-themed party to celebrate its release.
With glitter balls hanging overhead for a Studio 54ish vibe at NYC's Kiss n Fly nightclub, there were also bodypainted models on hand, Heatherette Pink round candied popcorn and cotton candy served with a smile by a fierce and fabulous dragqueen.
Heatherette designers Richie Rich and Traver Rains have a pretty forward, gender-bending and over-the-top following (muse Andre J was there) so it was only befitting for Pharell protege/Star Trak artist Teyana Taylor to perform that night.
The Harlem native was the highlight of the night in a corseted Heatherette dress with sporty Nike sneakers (her signature sexy tomboy look) topped with a supersize Diana Ross pouf 'do that was oh-so-appropriate. Peeking out from all that tuft were her super glossy bright fuschia lips in the Style Minx shade. She performed several songs from her yet to be released album including underground fave "Google Me." At one point she took out her Heatherette lipgloss and waved that wand as if she was sending Dorothy back to Kansas! Totally worked it.

Celebrity attendees that shaked their groove thing trying to mimic her poppin' backup dancers included Pastry designers Angela and Vanessa Simmons, BET host Julissa, singing duo Nina Sky and ANTM winner Caridee English among others. Be sure to cop a gloss, shadow or something before it runs out soon. The bright colors will work perfectly with the bold, bright hue trend this season.

I am not feelin this freaky, wild,& out there party at all? It looks like this party OVER DID IT TO THE MAX! I really don't see what is all the hype of this pharell protege "Teyana Taylor"? I seen her on MTV's Sweet Sixteen and only saw her dancing skills. BET had her on and this girl can't sing at all? I don't understand? I hope she gave a good performance at the party?
The theme look was back in the 80's. Why go back? They should have did a theme that was the "FUTURE". It seems that people will always be stuck in the past!
I hope with all the money they put into this MAC Release Party that they do well in sales? I know that MAC aint getting my money$$$$

That was my opinion how I felt about this "OVER THE TOP PARTY" and THE PERSON THAT I WANTED TO MAKE COMMENT ON. IT SEEMS TO ME "BOO, BOO," you are taking it PERSONAL! Why don't YOU GET GRIP and stop making PERSONAL ATTACKS on people that have their own OPINION? Do you know Teyana personally, the answer is "No". That is why, this is BV Blogs, so that PEOPLE'S VOICES CAN BE HEARD! I don't hate, I might DIS LIKE what a person says or does. It doesn't mean that I HATE that person as an INDIVIDUAL!

I'm sorry, I know this is not relevant to this blog, but I had to comment to what "Me"#5 had to say.
Say What? I didn't hear this. What did he die of? The two brothers were oh so talented. I hope that BV has a Blog for him? My thoughts and prayers go out ot the Levert's Family and friends and I pray that "God" will help Levert's family and friends to get through these hard and difficult time!
"God" says, for us to lay down our family members life, in order for him to work through us and to"Bless Us"! "God" wants for us to move on, but in the meantime it Ok to grieve!

I really don't think that this MAC line is going to Sell! I too, didn't like the whole 80's theme going on!
Getting back to "Sean Levert", here is a post in a article about his death:
"March 31, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com is sad to report that Sean Levert, brother of Gerald Levert died last night in prison. Sean was incarcerated last week after he repeatedly failed to pay child support to the mother of his children.
Right now its not clear what caused the 39 year old Sean's untimely death. One of Sean's family members reached out to MediaTakeOut.com explaining, "Going to jail and all the publicity surrounding it was too much for [Sean]. It's an extremely sad situation."

I don't like the look of the MAC Makeup or the look of that MAC Release Party! I think that it is geared for the teenage crowd? It's too "Bubble Gum" for me!
That Teyana Taylor looks older than 16 there? I guess, her family let her grow up fast! Very INNAPROPRIATE to dress like that at this age! I don't think she is a good role model for girls looking up to her far as her FASHION EXPERSSION! On the other hand, she is a good dancer but is short in the singing department!

PHARRELL HAS BEEN "PROMOTING" HER FOR ATLEAST 2 YEARS NOW. STILL HAVE NOT SEEN NOT ONE ALBUM OR ANYTHING. I THINK SHE IS 18 NOW NOT 16. HE IS PROBABLY BANGING HER NOW THAT SHE IS LEGAL.
