We've chipped our Chanel red polish, by biting our nails, in anticipation of last night's season finale of Bravo TV's Project Runway. Would our girl Korto win? Would Kenley stop whining and being rude? And most importantly would Leanne fix her hair? Add some highlights, let it down, your a pretty girl, Leanne! But I digressed.
So, last night there were a few first and last moments for Project Runway. This was the last time Project Runway would air on Bravo TV, they will move to the Lifetime Network next season. And this was the first time that the final three designers have all been women, as well as Tim Gunn's first time being a judge, (oh, how delightful), due to a last minute cancellation by Jennifer Lopez.
These last three super girls, designed distinctive collections reflecting their own personalities. Leanne created a very structured, aesthetic which, showed off her precision-tailoring skills, but she was also able to create movement in her collection, since she was inspired by the ocean waves. Kenley's collection was whimsical and fun, a look any retro girl or Alice in Wonderland obsessed fan would love to wear.

For this Style Spotter, Korto's line was the most elegant and stayed true to her African roots by combining vibrant fabric and an ethnic sensible with her use of stones and stitching. You could wear any of Korto's designs to a cocktail event, or red carpet arrival or just because you want to look exceptionally fierce and pretty that day.

What the judges appreciated most, besides Korto's strong fashion point-of-view, was the fact that her clothing could be worn well by most body types. The judges loved the line, but was afraid Korto's designs were a tad bit over-done. And although Korto came in second place on the show, Leanne was last night's Project Runway winner, Korto is this Style Spotter's Best Reality Show Designer winner. Do we all agree?
Here are a few of Korto's pieces from Bryant Park during the season finale.

I knew that Leanne would win. I wanted Koto to win also but if she ever gets a line I would love to know about it. You can give her my email address because I really loved her clothes and I feel she can dress any woman of any size and any culture. Kenley was rude but she had a nice showing of her personality. I liked Leannes clothes also. Jarell was funky and I loved his clothes also.

I agree that Korto should have won! I am 60 years old and I thought that all of her clothes were outstanding especially that white pantsuit. I also thought it was impressive that she made clothes for all size women. I look forward to seeing her clothes in boutiques and stores.
Leann fashions were all that wave pattern and very boring colors of white, cream and washed out blue. I really thought she should have come in third place.
I thought second place should have gone to rude Kenley. That hand-painted on the material was outstanding.
As usual, there were no judges of color on the panel.

Was that Danielle Evans from next Top Model winner modeling for Korto? Korto was definitely the winner.

It would have been nice if Korto had win. However, even being in the final 3 gives her massive prestige and media exposure, which will help her a lot in the future. Therefore, I'm sure we can expect big things from her in the future. :)
