On the heels of the much buzzed debate on what First Lady-to-be
Michelle Obama will wear to the Inauguration on January 20th, the focus has now shifted to what the conservative yet slick President Elect
Barack Obama will be wearing as well. Obama, who was just named TIME Magazine's Person Of The Year, is highly likely to stick with Hartmax, the Chicago-based brand he wore on Election Day and known for their tradition of suiting up politicians and several previous Presidents. Fashion trade newspaper
WWD did the deed yet again of asking menswear designers to provide illustrations of how they would suit Obama up for the historical moment.
Diddy jumped on board of course and we're not mad at his vision. For Sean John, one of the looks has Obama more ready to attend Diddy's infamous annual White Labor Day party in the Hamptons. The other is sharp in grey with black piping on the lapel and a bowtie, more apropos. Our thoughts? Fit for a King. I can see Barack standing on Capitol Hill in a Sean John tux giving major attitude, "
No one on the corner have swagga like us..."

There were a host of other designers who submitted sketches of suits and wide variety of tie options. You can preview and vote for your favorite illustrations from Tommy Hifiger, Salvatore Ferragamo, Kenneth Cole, Brooks Brothers and more.
Wouldn't it be hot if the President-elect wore a look from a Black designer?

I think that Obama should use a black designer like Diddy-His clothers are very appropriate for the man in charge of the US! The other designers have had their "hay day"!

Pres-Elect Barack Obama should wear a Black Label tee shirt with a pair of black label skinny jeans hanging
down pass his ass showing a pair of Tommy Hifiger boxers to the Inauguration.......What?

I don't think our first BLACK PRES-ELECT should wear a label that was told years ago,( His design was not for Black People.)This comment was made by Tommy Hilfiger.

As much as I can't stand Diddy, his suits and Tuxedo's are top notch. They remind me somewhat of Ralph Lauren.....classic and never go out of style. Obama would definitely look nice in Sean Jean attire.
