Poppin' in Purple: Dawn Richard with her contribution for the toy drive
Tell us what you're wearing...
I got this from a little cute boutique in Las Vegas you know (Caesars) Forum Shops? From there.
How would you describe your personal style?
I always set new trends. Even if it's conservative it's got to be flavor. I'm the girl that's into homeless hobo chic. You know like (the styles seen in) FADER, NYLON magazines. I love Kate Moss, the Olsen twins, Agyness Deyn the model. Love those styles. Not usual for an African-American woman, but it's me, I'm different.

Who are your fashion icons?
Like I said Agyness Deyn, Kate Moss, and Mary Kate Olsen. That homeless chic? Love it! I'll rock the tartan plaid Dolce & Gabbana pants with just a dirty black shirt with some dope Michael Kors boots.

Style Inspiration: Model Agyness Deyn

Martin Margiela, love him. Alexander McQueen, amazing and my favorite of all time is Balmain. Love Balmain. Love the way it fits on a woman. So sexy.

I can't live without my Mac book. My Apple Mac book. It has a program on there to help me make all my music.
Favorite beauty products?
Carol's Daughter is amazing. Love them it's great for African-American skin, can't do without it and of course MAC products. I live and go by the Holy Grail of their foundations.
What fashion ad campaign would you love to appear in?
I would love to represent Carol's Daughter. I wouldn't say just any fashion designer specifically because I love many and wouldn't want to be pigeonholed but...Balmain. Everybody's sleeping on that line. And I would love to do one runway show for them.
Have you ever been to Paris or Milan for the fashion shows? You know a lot about European designers!
I study. I study fashion. I do hope to go one day.

H8ters..Don't HATE! Dawn IS the REAL thing. Just as nice and kind as anyone can be. I lived down the street from her parents and literally watched her grow up. Never a problem with her. No Brittney Spears here. She was always just a VERY GOOD kid. She really deserves the success she has!
You Go Dawn! We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of you.

I love Dawn, she's been my favorite from the first time I saw her. I thinkt that her plight her having been a survivor of "Katrina" has really been able to keep her humble and grounded.
I love that she is gritty and down to earth!
Do you Dawn!
