Ah-ten-tion! Forward march... right into spring's military-inspired jackets! This style has been around for many years and pops up every so often. Michael Jackson was one of the first to wear this trend, and now designers are creating military-inspired jackets, fashion junkies are rocking them and celebrities can't get enough.

In the 1980s Michael Jackson wore his crystal-studded high-commander, military-inspired jacket to red carpet events. Today we see stars like Kanye West confidently wear this style in a fresh way.

Beyonce's beading on her jacket added elegance to her military style.
Fashion editor Nina Garcia, of Marie Claire, rocks a tame version of this trend.

Coldplay decided to go militant on us, but in a colorful, pastel way.

Military inspirations came from the runways of (left to right) Alexander McQueen, Temperley London and Colette Dinnigan

People like Kayne, Beyonce, and others should leave the military-inspired jackets OFF LIMITS! Why can't things stay in the PAST! BE ORIGINAL!

what has black or white have to do with style,..there are many black people that have their unique style and many white people thatdo. as for what people don not wear, most of waht is posted are fashion concepts and ideas from major designers,by the time it get to you"regular joe" all the high street stores would take an rehas an spit it out in a more common fashion . that the mass marets understand,..
look at it as art "mona lisa the apinting' and print an media spin offs from the original.
fashion reinvents it self, and knowing when is the right time to put it out there as a design house is crucial,...so its not about not beig original its about,re-inventing!
