For the past 50 years, Lilly Pulitzer's signature prints have revolutionized American fashion. Her colorful creations were present at Palm Beach vacations with the former first family, The Kennedys. Her vibrant frocks and bathing suits are made for leisure activity, but her fantastic, fun designs continue to influence many of today's top designers.
In Lilly Pulitzer fashion, the designer will celebrate her 50th anniversary at the Pink Pineapple in Bonita Springs, Florida on March 20th. The event will feature fruity drinks, fabulous treats and fashionable fun, plus the unveiling of the Jubilee Retrospective and her spring line.

I really don't find her fashions fun and fantasic at all. The clothes look like material from a table cloth. 50 yrs of a HOT MESS!

I have loved Lilly since I was old enough to know what it was. Lilly Pulitzer clothes are my favorite! I think Lilly Pulitzer clothes are wonderful and sofisticated. I can not wait to dress my children in Lilly when I get older!

While on one hand, I am quite impressed with the success of the "Lilly" dress, I have difficulty grasping it's appeal and especially, its connection to the "preppy" arena. As someone who appreciates a more classical and traditional attire, I find the bright colors to be tacky and distasteful. I feel almost as though I am looking at a pink flamingo in cheesy south Florida.
