Naomi Campbell is the latest bad girl gone good. Yesterday, the British supermodel walked the catwalk for a cause -- a charity runway show she put together in India during Lakme Fashion Week. The show, called Mai Mumbai ( which means: I Am Mumbai), was a collaborative effort to support victims of last year's Mumbai attacks. It was held by Campbell's philanthropic initiative, "Fashion for Relief," (which raised over a $1 million in 2005 at New York Fashion Week for Hurricane Katrina) and New York-based hotelier Vikram Chatwal. The fashions featured were stunning designs donated from the industry's best: Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Zac Posen, Roberto Cavalli, Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan, Ungaro, Matthew Williamson, Naeem Khan, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang, Valentin Yudashkin, Anna Sui, Badgley Mischka, Nanette Lepore, Dennis Basso, Diane von Furstenberg and Manolo Blahnik.
And the karma for Campbell's good deed? At the end of the show, two well-known Bollywood producers approached her and asked if she'd be interested in auditioning for a Bollywood film. Campbell is now planning to return to India to audition for her first major film role.

"Everything on the runway is for sale. This is my first Fashion for Relief show in India, an initiative which I started four years back. I hope to come back and do more shows," said Campbell. "I love India and have always felt very welcome when visiting the country. When the terrorist attacks happened last year, my heart went out to the people of Mumbai. We are using Lakme Fashion Week's platform to raise funds for Citizens For Justice And Peace and to raise awareness of their important work." The proceeds from the eBay.com auction will benefit the city's medical infrastructure. According to Chatwal, several lives were lost in the famous Mumbai terror attacks due to inadequate medical transport.

Not to say this is all right. My professionalism is seriously underdeveloped right now, as my natural tendency is to value attitude more -- meaning, I'll forgive any technical mistake as long as the person is nice about doing the work. And this Mr. Tan, http://www.louisvuitton2.com/articles/ he has a kind smile. Not that I can know one is nice just from that, but I believe certain traits do show.
