The College Survival Guide
A Fridge
Regardless of whether you have a wonderful sized meal plan, your fridge may come in handy with leftovers or when you feel like stocking it with bottled drinks.
Computer
The convenience of a computer is essential when sending your kids off to college. Forget the hike to the computer lab across campus students need a computer in the comfort of their room. A printer comes in handy as well. Depending on whether your child plans to carry his laptop around campus, you might opt for a desk top since they're lighter on the pockets.
Snacks
You will surely survive with off of a meal plan but it doesn't hurt to stock up on snacks when you don't feel like leaving your dorm room. Bottled water, pop corn, cereal and Ramen noodles are all low budget snacks to stock up on. Just be weary of the freshman 15.
Things from home
Some college students suffer from homesickness the first year. It's best to surround yourself with things like photos of the family, pillows or even stuffed animals. Anything that reminds your child of home.
MP3 Player
With all the stress that comes from school and exams, sometimes it's nice to block out the chaos in your life and even your roommate with music. It's nearly impossible to find students walking to class who aren't jamming to tunes.
Budget
Students who enter college often come in at the ripening age of 18. A great time for credit cards. Parents beware, your child may end up ruining their credit at a young age
Alarm Clock
When you're in college you don't have the luxury of getting awaken by your parents. It's now your responsibility to get to class on time so alarm clocks are a must. But keep your roommate in mind. You shouldn't wake him up ever morning with a blow horn alarm.
Cleaning supplies
Now you don't necessarily need to bring in the rubber gloves, mop and gas mask but it doesn't hurt to bring along Clorox all purpose wipes for spills or dust. Vacuums and brooms come in handy too depending if you have a carpeted dorm.
Bedding
What most parents aren't aware of is that most college beds are twin sized but extra long and require special sheets. When shopping keep your eye open for sheets that clearly state 'extra long' or else your child may come up short.
Shower shoes
You really don't know what some people do in the shower these days. College showers are known to be creeping with germs so spare yourself the fungus and purchase flip flops for the shower. You'll thank us later!

FOLKS, WE MUST BE CAREFUL IN JUDGING THE PEOPLE OF STRONG CHARACTER, STRANGERS OR OURS. AND ABOVE ALL THOSE LIKE THE OBAMAS WHO HAVE BROKEN SO MANY MYTHES AND REACHED THE SUCH GOALS. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, DO THEY REPRESENT A NEW SOCIO-POLITICAL AMERICAN BOOK OR THEY STILL MUST LEAN FROM THE RUSTICISM? SO MUCH TO SAY! BUT BULKLY, LET ME EXPRESS A LITTLE BIT ON THE DEGREE ISSUE TO THIS PRESIDENT: THE NOBLENESS AND HIGHEST DEGREE ON WHATSOEVER DURING AND AFTER THE PRESIDENCY OF BARACK OBAMA, SHOULD AND MUST BE THE SATISFACTION TO THE ENTIRE NATION...

I agree! However, what was she thinking with that enormous bow? It's cartoonish.

I love Michele & truth is, you can put rags on her & she can still rock it. That’s a black woman for you. We wear our clothes but the clothes don’t wear us.
Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with aiming for perfection. All of us can always do better; nothing wrong with that. As successful as Michele is, I know she embraces self-improvement.
When I saw that green outfit from J. Crew, when she was in London, I went “Oh LAWD, the enemy has infiltrated the White House” LOL! Who ever packed that outfit is obviously working for the enemy & should be charged with TREASON.” Rosh Limbaugh or Sarah Palin might have sent them. LOL!
Here’s the deal, there is and always has been a clothing allowance for the First Lady, because this is a non-paying role. She should take it! I paid for both Laura & Barbara Bush’s, & I don’t particularly care for them, I would be elated to pay for Michele’s. Take it Girl. Forget about people who want to look like the First Lady with the J. Crew stuff. To them I say: "tough, you just gonna have to wait till your husband becomes president." Lol. I want to lose 10 lb you don't see me asking her to gain 10 & join me. LOL!

If people would spend as much time putting their house in order then trying to tell our first Lady what she should or should not wear, this would be a better world. And by the way, our President has the four suits he wears and two pair of shoes. Clothes don't make the man or woman. It all comes from within!

Her fashion style is so....over rated.. She wears things that just aren't right for her, she also needs to have better posture and i am so tired of her wearing everything sleeveless.. and i'm not seeing what everyone else is about her arms being so great.
another thing is when she was doing the garden no one wears that when they are gardening. how do you take someone serious when they are dressed like that to do some get down and dirty work"..i would of thought how great if she was not all dressed up and would of had on old clothes. when your planting in dirt you don't dress up and wear heels.. (no matter who your are and no one expects her to dress up to do gardening) come on are we suppose to believe that she will be working in the garden? if they want to live a normal life as they can then they need to do what use average people do. your average american doesn't dress up to garden or anythng like that where you get hot and sweat.
