Don't sleep on San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis. He's been making plenty of rounds outside of sports, so you have to keep him on your radar as "one to watch.'" Davis first turned heads outside of the sports world last year when he showed up on the arm of actress Niecey Nash for an Oscar preview party. He also attended the Styling The Modern Man event recently and this past February sat front row for several runway shows, including Justin Timberlake's William Rast show, during New York Fashion Week. A draft pick himself just three years ago, tonight he is set to celebrate his younger brother Vontae's likely draft success by co-hosting the official NFL pre-draft event, "The Draft Classic" party tonight in New York City with co-hosts Kim Kardashian and ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson. On Saturday, he's guest of honor at the "Fashion & Football" event thrown by TheFashionReporter.com. Not sure if he's looking to start an internship at a magazine or fashion house like that other athlete, but his interest in fashion inspired us to ask him a few questions about his personal style.

How would you describe your personal style? My personal style is kind of casual with a twist. I prefer a certain fit in my clothes (not too tight, but not baggy), and I like to stand out a bit from the other guys. I'm not afraid to wear bright or unusual colors either. I like unique shoes, too. I try to show people that you don't have to be some little skinny guy to have style.

What inspires you? President Obama's win is definitely inspiring. Even though I'm accomplishing my goals, he shows that there's really nothing you can't do if you're willing to put the work in and realize your talents.
