It is about being who you are. True love is color blind. It is fine as long as they allow their child to "know" their history and face this world with understanding that EVERYONE is not as loving as they are. Understand that no matter how far we have come there will always be those who think we are not black enough or too black. I am of mixed race so I have learned long ago to be proud of who I am and what history I have learned to adapt too and be proud of. Judge not by the color of my skin but how I carry my self and give to others. One day there will be only grays.......peace out!

I think all of your comments are intresting, to say the least they strike a nerve that lends itself to dialogue, no matter the persuasion. It is my perspective that who someone loves is their perogative...yes, I am a beautiful black woman and have been privileged to travel the world many times, and I can see that culture and peoples of the world are beautiful in all their array not just black or white. Celebrate every culture and peoples for their differences rather shun them for them. You have to be able to go far beyond someone surface in order to see them for who they really are becuase beauty fades but the human soul is eternally beautiful.

Not to say that the tone was correct, but you all seem a bit harsh with the commentor who said that it would have been better had Seal had a black wife. I agree because it seems at times many high rising black men seem to all have white spouses. Just an observation, but it is food for thought that when black men do it it's alright but black women get alot of looks.

A black woman wouldn't want Seal? Speak for yourself. He's WONDERFUL! I also don't care that he's with Heidi. But, Seal and I go way back to his first album. I crooned along with him and wondered why in some of his first videos the lighting detracted from his scars. I loved his voice and I love him and I am glad that he has someone who loves him. Obviously our paths did not cross so happy life to him.

I totally understand successful black men dating white women, there are simply far more white women than black women surrounding them.
The question is why do some white women choose black partners when they are so out numbered by white men? To those who say love is colour blind..BS! Most of these white chicks choose their partners based primarily on their skin colour. Sad but true! Some only date blacks...thats not colour blind or accidental, most of these women are certainly wearing the trousers in the house also!
