The College Survival Guide
A Fridge
Regardless of whether you have a wonderful sized meal plan, your fridge may come in handy with leftovers or when you feel like stocking it with bottled drinks.
Computer
The convenience of a computer is essential when sending your kids off to college. Forget the hike to the computer lab across campus students need a computer in the comfort of their room. A printer comes in handy as well. Depending on whether your child plans to carry his laptop around campus, you might opt for a desk top since they're lighter on the pockets.
Snacks
You will surely survive with off of a meal plan but it doesn't hurt to stock up on snacks when you don't feel like leaving your dorm room. Bottled water, pop corn, cereal and Ramen noodles are all low budget snacks to stock up on. Just be weary of the freshman 15.
Things from home
Some college students suffer from homesickness the first year. It's best to surround yourself with things like photos of the family, pillows or even stuffed animals. Anything that reminds your child of home.
MP3 Player
With all the stress that comes from school and exams, sometimes it's nice to block out the chaos in your life and even your roommate with music. It's nearly impossible to find students walking to class who aren't jamming to tunes.
Budget
Students who enter college often come in at the ripening age of 18. A great time for credit cards. Parents beware, your child may end up ruining their credit at a young age
Alarm Clock
When you're in college you don't have the luxury of getting awaken by your parents. It's now your responsibility to get to class on time so alarm clocks are a must. But keep your roommate in mind. You shouldn't wake him up ever morning with a blow horn alarm.
Cleaning supplies
Now you don't necessarily need to bring in the rubber gloves, mop and gas mask but it doesn't hurt to bring along Clorox all purpose wipes for spills or dust. Vacuums and brooms come in handy too depending if you have a carpeted dorm.
Bedding
What most parents aren't aware of is that most college beds are twin sized but extra long and require special sheets. When shopping keep your eye open for sheets that clearly state 'extra long' or else your child may come up short.
Shower shoes
You really don't know what some people do in the shower these days. College showers are known to be creeping with germs so spare yourself the fungus and purchase flip flops for the shower. You'll thank us later!

Tahari Pant Suit, $580; Diane von Furstenberg Pant Suit, $265; Banana Republic White Jacket and Pants, approximately $300.
Throw an exotic print top in the mix:

Newport News Silk Animal Print Blouse, $25; Arden B Chiffon Lurex Print Tunic, $38.
Add a metallic pump to complete the look:

You're good to go!

As you can see, Rhianna tone down her look after that Chris Brown ordeal. Her hair ain't wild anymore and she's tryin to look mature. I didn't like how she dressed before and nor do I like the way she dresses's now. I will say one thing, I did like the leopard blouse, hated the white suit.

I love the white suite and print blouse. Don't like the blond pieces, but other than that, I think she looks better than ever.
Rihanna can dress wild but she stays within our solar system, unlike Lady GaGa. That is why Rihanna makes all these lists. She's got a rock star style but it's not something that if you tone down a bit, you couldn't wear on the streets. Hated those thigh high leggings and jean shorts though eww....

This is a classic 40's look for Rhianna and it does wonders for her. The look is pure sophistication. It's good to see her looking stylish instead of trendy.
She always look nice even when she's way out there with her clothing. But trendy clothes look weird years later when looking through old photo's of celebrities. This suit will still look classy 12 years later.

Why oh why are we still sporting animal print. Geeeeez, I am so tired of looking at it. There is no way that I want to look like this. How much make-up does she have on? Why is her hair up like that showing her forehead? Who told her that white suit was a good choice. She's not even 20 yet and dressing like she is pushing 50. She needs to put her hair back down and dress like a 20 year old woman. This look is just awful.

rihanna may be nice looking on the outside , and mind you i said only nice looking, shes not a beauty. the way she dresses i dont give a care, i hate how she destroyed a talented black man, with more talent than she or anyone else i've seen in a long azz time. hate how she started a altercation, to get what she wanted , now chris, where is Chris.

"i hate how she destroyed a talented black man"
With respect to your comment, she did not "destroy" a talented Black man; he did that to himself. No one held a gun to his head and made him physically abuse her. He CHOSE to do that. Regardless of his talent, when you're in the limelight, you have to consider the consequences of every decision. He chose to put his hands on her, and now he's dealing with the consequences. I don't wish bad things for anybody, so don't think I'm attacking Chris Breezy, I'm just saying that Rihanna did not "DESTROY" his career.
Be blessed. =)
