The 2009 MTV Movie Awards went down last night in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheater, and there were memorable moments both on and off the red carpet. British actor Sasha Baron Cohen's aerial stunt that ended with his bare butt landing on homophobic rapper Eminem's face was the biggest scene stealer of the night. And the other? Gladiator heels. The biggest celeb trend of the night was worn more than any other style (besides, of course, the LBD, or little black dress). There was more experimenting and risk taking than any other awards ceremony because, hey, it's MTV.
Actress Taraji P. Henson stepped out in a short, choppy 'do that topped her short black dress with white print. The ruffle detail in the back made it super haute. I was really feeling Forest Whitaker and his wife, Keisha, both in gray. He wore a suit sans tie with gray-soled Nike Air Dunks. It complemented his wife's silver dress, which flattered her fabulous form quite nicely. The former model consistently puts most women with four children to shame!
Keke Palmer was pretty in a pink dress and gray suede shoes. Rapper Lil' Mama both shocked and disappointed as usual. Although the strapless turquoise dress was a step up for her and softened her a bit, the bright yellow pumps looked cheap and threw off the cute style, which will surely inspire many teens heading to the prom.

Others very deserving of the worst-dressed award included Britney Spears' ex-hubby's baby mama Shar Jackson in a black halter with a chain link print and a red-tipped bob haircut; 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart, who sported a belted dress with Converse sneakers, was more college campus than red-carpet ready; Cameron Diaz in jeans and a leopard print shirt, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter Rumer who rocked an ethnic-inspired getup and Lauren Conrad of 'The Hills,' whose rose-print frock was two thumbs down.

Keke Palmer

Forest and Keisha Whitaker
On the best-dressed list were 'High School Musical' star Ashley Tisdale, who impressed in a gray leather mini with gladiator wedges; 'Transformers' Megan Fox, whose strapless black with gold-print dress was stunning; and Sienna Miller who looked fab in a green sequined long-sleeve mini dress from her Twenty8Twelve line.

Male hotties in the building included Tyrese Gibson, Denzel Washington and athlete-turned-actor Rick Fox.

Risk takers, if you're gonna "do you" (because MTV's red carpet does allow more flexibility than others) do it right: The Afro on 'High School Musical' co-star Monique Coleman didn't quite jive with her very upscale silver Katy Rodriguez dress and Christian Louboutin heels. Maybe the look should have been more ethereal with the hair. Or vice versa.

I missed it yesterday but look check it right, "What is up with lil Momma's whole outfit"? Like the girl went to some rummage sale the day before show? I mean come on, girlfriend was wearing fluorescent yellow shoes, with a pink purse, a pin that looked like a patch of grass,a ugly aqua blue dress. Her hair was lookin a HOT MESS" with those blonde extensions. What's up with that? Next we have, Ms. Keeke Palmer and Kesha Whitaker. There dresses were nice but it look like to me like they SWAPPED SHOES? What's up with that? Now Taraji, that's my girl and hair was on point but her dress looked a lil too short on her. You thought she was one of Heffner's Playboy Bunnies that night? I liked the print.
Here we have Ashley Tisdale her dress was too short, the color was ugly, gladiator shoes look like they were too tight for her feet. What's up with that? OMG, last we have Ms. Monique Coleman wanna be a ballet dancer. I mean I am for the natural look but, her style didn't do her justice. Look a lil wayne, I'm so sick and tired of seein his look too. Mr. Weezy Baby", is having another baby by Ms. Lauren London? I hope this is not true? He just had a baby last year by someone? TRIFE, is all I got's to say. Well, that was my opinion on the MTV Award Show.

i understand some of these folks r very young & young at heart. but 4 the money that some of these outfit cost, they look very cheap. they don't look like stars, they just reach in the closet without looking & came out with these outfits. not red carpet material.

I dont know what this fool^ is talking about, Tyrese nor Solja Boy were saggin their pants. Some people do have enough sense to dress somewhat propper, so sue them for wanting to be a little comfortable while sitting through this long ass award show where neither one of them is gonna win anything... You say your embarrased to be black but what about Diddy im sure 10 years ago you didnt give a damn what he wore to a show.. now he has matured in his career and lifestyle and he dresses differently...Lil Wayne is never going to care how people veiw him b/c he put it all out there.... Its called being a free spirit. There is nothing ghetto about how any of these young men are dressing other than the fact that Solja Boy had on too much Jewelry.

Taraji, sistah gurl...You are a nice looking woman, but don't you think it's time you grew up? That dress is just a tad bit to young for you and much to short. Mrs. Whitaker, thanks for gaining a few pounds, you needed it. Keke, give Mrs. Whitaker your shoes but please don't wear hers because they are too red for your outfit. Lil Mama, smh, simply pathetic. For the thug brothas....Grow da fugg up. Even if you're not a man at least pretend that you are. You are all inappropriately dress. None of you are teenages anymore. Total disgrace.

Taraji(Sistah Gurl)...Don't you think you're just a tad bit to old for that dress? Don't get me wrong, you're a nice looking sistah but that dress is far to short. Mrs. Whitaker, thanks for gaining a few pounds you needed it. By the way Mrs. Whitaker, lose the shoes. Keke's shoes would look better with your outfit. However, your shoes doesn't fit Keke's outfit so I guess she will have to wing it bare...lol. Lil Mama, smh...You look absolutely pathetic. Thug boys...Grow da fugg up. You're not teenagers anymore. You are all inappropriately dressed. Embarrassing.

I'm sure a few of celebrity stylists are laughing all the way to the bank. Many of these celebrities need a good full length mirror and a good old fashioned dose of the story of the "Emperor's New Clothes" and a little kid to tell you the TRUTH!!!

people wear what you want to wear as long it is in decency and order. create your own style as God created us as individuals, don't let anyone dictate to you your sense of style that's how fashion began and will end, stay daring and bold haters give up, your days are over soon.
