Politicians and their wives rarely get caught up in PETA squabbles. That's usually reserved for the Aretha Franklins and Lindsay Lohans of the world, but France's first lady, Carla Bruni, recently drew attention from the intimidating animal right's organization for supposedly wearing fur. She maintains that she never buys or wears the real thing, but the incident begs the question: How does her fellow first lady (and partner in fashion) Michelle Obama feel about fur?"We've never written to Michelle Obama about this issue because we have always known her to be fur free," Amanda Schinke, media campaigns coordinator for PETA, told the Washington Times. Mrs. O's spokesperson said the same.
Check out other famous folks who oppose fur -- and celebs who can't live without it.

Annie: I agree. She has had her share of bad choices. The orange snake birthday cake outfit she just wore was a nightmare. Shouldn't sweaters at least have the illusion of being able to close? More important than what Mrs. B.H Obama is wearing is the way her husband is converting our wonderful country to socialism.

Lol. If you call Pamela Anderson intelligent that says alot about you. Did you know Ms. Anti-Fur drove a Dodge Viper? Whose seats only come in 100% cow hide leather? Talk about hipprocracy.
The Anti-Fur celebs are just like the "green" celebs. They do it to get their pictures/names in the tabloids and papers.
Just let people that want to wear it wear it and those that don't don't. It's called freedom. Isn't it grand?

Oh yea! real grand! Just because it's legal to torture and maim animals for fur doesn't make it right. You call that freedom?

I have to say as a person that doesn't wear fur that it is a choice. Believe me just because I don't wear fur doesn't mean that I don't eat meat! It may not be pretty but he is right. The great thing about America is that we have the choice.

I wish I could afford a beautiful fur coat for cold weather, there is nothing comparable to it's warmth. They are VERY practical for cold climates but very expensive. I did have a lamb fur hat once and my head never got cold when I was in a blizzard, but the rest of me did. The first clothes worn by Adam and Eve were made from animal skins.....that proves there is nothing wrong with fur clothing. God never made a mistake, He is first class all the way. So wear that fur if you can afford it and don't listen to the static in the background of the special interest groups, they just prove they are not too smart.

Please tell me how you know the first clothes worn by Adam and eve were made of fur. Did you see pictures? Their clothes could have been made from leaves and tree bark like clothing remains found by archeologists from some of the native people who have lived in densely forested areas. God may not make mistakes but you can.
