Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Center in New York City. This year the awards were hosted by comedian Tracey Ullman, and celebrity presenters included Jimmy Fallon, Kerry Washington and 'Gossip Girls' star Blake Lively. Also in attendance were fashion designers Cynthia Rowley, Donna Karan, Francisco Costa, Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors, Patrick Robinson, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Tracy Reese, Vivienne Tam, and Zac Posen; A-listers Ashley Olsen, Claire Danes, Heidi Klum, Kirsten Dunst, Nate Berkus, Padma Lakshmi, Rachel Zoe, and Zoe Saldana, plus models like Liya Kebede.

First Lady Michelle Obama was honored with the Board of Directors' Special Tribute Award by CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg for her support and commitment to American designers.
"The ingenuity and craftsmanship of American designers contributes so much to our economy and to our culture," said Mrs. Obama in a taped message sent from the White House. "To both legends and the future legends, I am honored to celebrate your craft with you tonight. And on behalf of men and women everywhere, I want to thank you all for making fashion liberating, inspiring, but most of all, fun."

I like Kerry but her dress style looked old-fashioned and the color was awful. Kerry could have done something better with her hair and make-up more? Even if Kerry wore a diamond necklace, it still wouldn't have brought out that dreadful looking dress. WHAT THE HELL, Ms. Rachel has no fashion sense whatsoever. As soon as her and Damon Dash were divorced, her style in clothes and hair went down hill! Come on now, black shoes with that white dress? She looked a hot mess.
I have nothing but good things to say about my girl, Zoe Saldana. She is so beautiful. Her hair and dress was on POINT! You go girl! I wasn't feelin Liya Kebede's see through lace with that black and white print opened dress. I thought it looked TACKY? Tracy Reese's own creation should have been left in her closet at home. The dress didn't seem to have fit her right and the print and color was blah? The only thing that I had liked were the shoes she wore and the purse. Ms. Padma Lakshmi's dress was nice and simple, but wasn't too crazy about the color?

I have nothing but good things to say about my girl, Zoe Saldana. She is so beautiful. Her hair and dress was on POINT!
