Dunn's appearance on the Teen Vogue cover begs the question: Is it inappropriate for a young, pregnant and unmarried woman to appear on the cover of a major teen magazine? When you consider the highly publicized pregnancy of teen star Jamie Lynn Spears and shows like 'Glee,' 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' and MTV's reality series, '16 and Pregnant,' all of which normalize teenage pregnancy, it seems that it's no longer such a big taboo to be in your teens and pregnant. And, of course, Dunn is older than 18 and technically an adult. What do you think?

Jourdan is a model, she is not yet a supermodel.
Jourdan is 19 yes, but she is a young adult as opposed to a 13-17 yr old preg girl.
These pics were taken months ago. IF V had pulled the cover they woulda be caled discriminatory for pulling the pics.
Both ladies look nice but NOT IN RED LIPSTICK. Afr descent ppl dont look good in red lipstick!

This is nothing to celebrate-so what she happens to be a model.

It doesn't appear to be much of a problem since she's not literally showing her pregnancy on the cover. Had she been on the cover like Demi Moore with her belly hanging out, even clothed, it would be problematic and a bad call. As long as she's not advocating adolescent unwed motherhood within the magazine, it shouldn't be a big deal

I think it's a little complicated...she legally an adult...but that nineTeen still gets her a job with a teen magazine. I am a strong believer in PARENTING. I feel like too many people today allow media/entertainment to raise their children. Yes its every where, yes it can send someone into sensory overload but if you give your children strong foundations they mat be less likely to be so easily swayed by an outside world. I think parents need to let there children know the differences between good, 'just not for me/you' and bad rolemodels early in life. I know growing up my mom wasn't my "friend" she was a mom who cared & listened but had guidelines. I learned from watching others choices...I was very big on honesty as a child and I know that for me ...it worked. I was not raving over teen/young adult pregnancy because I had working women as role-models as well as teen/young adult single-moms...so I knew through them the truths about consequences of life choices.

teens are gonna get pregnant regardless. it is not that serious let her live her life..no one woulda known she was pregnant until you all blurted it out you cant even tell..im quite sure they wouldnt have shown all that in the magazine...besides no one even knows who she is

Pretty sad she is ruining her life which will be on hold. You would have thought she would have been more smart about it. Sorry but, I got preg at 17 and thought hell no I was dumb to even get prego and had the best supportive mom and knew I wanted to enjoy my young life and go to college and to this day I have no regrets. I thought models are so busy well I guess not to busy she found time to have sex. Unmarried too? Not cute.

It is not complicated, teen pregnancy needs to stop
43% of people with the lowest literacy skills live in poverty.
17% of people with the lowest literacy skills receive food stamps
70% of people with the lowest literacy skills have no full or part time job. This pregnancy does not
mean the above but what message does it send when we adult support... by buying the magazine we are saying it is OK, well it is not and never will be
when I go to my daughters school it looks like
the maternity ward. They(girls) wear it like a badge of honor. We had a scare about 4 months ago my daughter thought she was pregnant so she ran away, to find the boy she thought she was pregnant by and when she told him he avoided her, while I was looking for her, calling the police and everybody because I was scared days went by the young man knew where she was but he never called and she was to scared to call it was a mess finally a lady called and told me what was going on Bless God for this lady. I had my daughter back and she was not pregnant and I aged 10 years.
Plain and simple it sends the wrong message. You do not have to be pregnant. We all know the hormones are out of control but there is birth control. BIRTH CONTROL, shots, pills, gels, IUD's take your pick. Have babies when your ready not 11 to 17.
