Rihanna's 2009 had some highs -- Glamour's Woman of the Year, highest debut album ever, cover of GQ. But homegirl has some real lows, too -- getting her ass kicked in public, missing the Grammys, messy fall-out with very famous boyfriend.
Yet, in wrapping up the year, Ri stepped out in style for her New Year's Eve performance at Rockefeller Center in a getup that at first seemed weird, but on second glance worked.
Starting from the top -- the Bajan beauty sported a top hat with flower and veil. Moving on down, she wore a lovely white cropped fur (PETA!) and bustier, showing a little skin. The accessories were on point, too. Even the cocktail ring over the long satin gloves was lovely. Though you can't see her bottom in the shot, she wore jodhpurs and flat boots just to give it a touch of androgyny. I call this Oliver Twist meets Patricia Fields.

I saw Rihanna's performance on New Year's Eve.She did rock the vocals,the girl can sing.But her outfit and especially her grabbing at her crotch area was confusing.Her top half was a classy feminine look. the bottom half(including the crotch grabbing)was man-ish and casual.I wondered if right before she came on stage, did she spill somthing on her skirt and did'nt worry about what she looked like at that point.And what's with the crotch grabbing, is she just trying to tone down her sexy appeal by being one of the boys?Her top with the mid-drift showing,her hat,gloves and that white jacket on black was on point.As far as the bottom half, I would have followed up with either a black clinging skirt, any length or a pair of black slacks accenting the "feminine shape".And a pair of cute,comfortable hills or boots.

I don't care much for Rihanna but I LOVE HATS!! It would be great to see them more style in our everyday fashions, veils and all! I believe we could benefit from a renewed classy, more modest look in our dressing in general.

since the first time that riri (rihanna) landed here in the united states she has been working her butt off not to be any of the other artist , but to make it big just like countless others and she had people that she looked up to and maybe she picked some people that she should not have as her pride and joy as she dreamed of becoming a artist!!!!because shes always compared to people who has been in the industry for decades and some of those people act like riri "IS A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO THEIR EXISTANT" she has done good as a young artist starting off from stratch and make it this far and shes just getting warmed up so YOU CAN CONMPARE HER TO ANY OF THE ARTIST BEFORE HER BUT SHES JUST RIHANNA (RIRI) AND DOING HER OWN THING IN HER OWN LANE,,,,,HELLO
