On Tuesday, January 12th, a magnitude 7 earthquake hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Three million people were affected in what has been called the small country's biggest natural disaster in 250 years. The death toll is still unknown but is estimated to be in the tens of thousands. As the country scrambles to find its footing, a handful of American designers are creating items or contributing a portion of their sales to relief funds:

And for the makeup lovers out there, Josie Maran of is donating 50 percent of the profits from josiemarancosmetics.com to the Red Cross from now until the end of January. Shop for the cause!

You can also donate directly to www.yele.org, www.redcross.org, www.transformhaiti.org, or find a list of other organizations here. Not by a computer? Every little bit helps.
