Kanye and Editors Lash out at Fashion Bloggers

Editors and celebrities have increasingly voiced their discontent with the growing influence of a handful of well-known bloggers.

Kanye West
recently took to his blog to skewer the supremely opinionated, sometimes snarky bunch, ranting, "IT'S FUNNY TO ME WHEN FASHION BLOGGERS DOWN OUR OUTFITS AND THEN SUPER JOCK OUTLANDISH SH*T ON THE RUNWAY BUT THEN THEY DRESS MAD PRUDE AND DON'T LIVE FASHION. WE LIVE IT MAN. F*CK THAT, WE LIVE IT!!! WE LIVE IT SO HARD PEOPLE LIVE THROUGH US! WE REPRESENT YOUR INNER SPIRIT!! "

He has since taken down the tirade, but you can check out a NSFW screen shot:

Also, in a recent article in the UK newspaper the Independent, titled 'Fluff flies as fashion writers pick a cat fight with bloggers,' editors from GQ and Grazia magazine complained that certain bloggers, including 13-year-old wunderkind Tavi of Style Rookie, ruined their fashion show experiences with their over-the-top accessories and seemingly meteoric rise to the front row (without paying their dues):

As print subscriptions plummet and advertising dollars shift online, editors and celebrities are understandably incensed with the changing tide. Do they have reason to fear?

Will bloggers be the new leaders of the fashion dialogue?
