Two words we love: couture and charity. Hollywood heavy hitters took a break from the Cannes Film Festival and descended to the town of Cap d'Antibes on the French Riviera for the annual amFAR 'Cinema Against AIDS' charity event held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.

Famed designer Giorgio Armani created the look of the dinner space, which featured an exhibition by New York street artist Richard Hambleton. Guests were enticed to raise money by bidding on such luxury items as a silk chiffon and crinoline Giorgio Armani Privé couture gown, a gold-plated bottle of champagne, a monkey-shaped pendant in diamonds and gemstones, a day with former President Bill Clinton and a flight in a fighter jet. The Cinema Against AIDS benefit was able to raise $6.7 million for AIDS research, which is pretty impressive considering we are in fragile economy.

The Queen of R&B, Mary J. Blige dazzled in a Giorgio Armani silk cocktail dress embroidered with Swarovski crystals and wowed the crowd with an acapella rendition of Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven.'

Other notable guests included Benicio Del Toro, Russell Crowe, Roberta Armani, and Kate Beckinsale, who were all outfitted in Giorgio Armani. Jennifer Lopez, Mark Anthony, Naomi Campbell, Naomi Watts, Paris Hilton and Mick Jagger were also in attendance.
