1. Short Hairstyles:

2. Socks With Heels:

3. Blue Nail Polish:

Beyonce was seen wearing pastel eggshell-blue nail polish in her 'Why Don't You Love Me' video, and fashionistas like Jessica Alba have donned the fun color on the red carpet. Pastel blue will help channel the bright days of summertime while setting you apart from the crowd. Will you try or pass it by?
4. Mixed Prints:

Whether you're going for leopard-on-leopard or stripes with florals, unique mixes are hot for the warmer months. If done incorrectly you could look a little clownish, but if you rock it right, you're sure to make a statement. Will you try or pass it by?
5. Athletic Wear:

Gym is glam this season! Wear sweatpants with heels or a terry top with ripped jeans for a casually chic allure. Will you try or pass it by?
Close-Cropped Celebs!
Angel Murphy, the daughter of Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown and Eddie Murphy, showed off her Mohawk on an outing with her mother and step dad, Stephen Belafonte. Did Mel B.'s bald husband inspire her to cut her daughter's hair?
After being snapped by paparazzi last week, Solange Knowles was shocked by the backlash from fans. On her Twitter page, she wrote, "i. just. wanted. to. be. free. from. the. bondage. that. black. women sometimes. put. on. themselves. with. hair."
Bald is beautiful! Just ask Sudan-born supermodel Alek Wek, who has been rockin' the baldie since she first stepped onto the runway in the '90s.
A few months ago, most people would be saying "Amber who?" Now, Kanye's girlfriend, Amber Rose, has a contract with Ford Models and a permanent spot in the gossip blogs. Her edgy and barely-there hair might have something to do with it.
Never one to shy away from a bold and edgy look, Rihanna is the latest in a long line of young celebrities to embrace, or at least partially embrace, the bald.
If singer Cassie was looking for publicity when she shaved a portion of her head, she got it! Blogs were abuzz about the pretty artist's new half-buzz cut.
After giving props to Cassie for her new look, La La Vasquez followed suit with a more subtle version.
'G.I. Jane,' the movie for which Demi Moore cut off all her hair, flopped, but the resulting style didn't! Her hair, or lack thereof, became a hot red-carpet accessory.
Sometimes going bald is not so much a fashion statement as it is a statement of insanity. Case in point: Britney Spears, whose bald head signaled a highly publicized mental breakdown.
A hair chameleon, Erykah Badu has gone from huge headwraps to long dreads to wild afros. This look was just one on her long list of creative looks.

None of these styles fit a non size 6 or person over 40. We are stylish too. Where are our models of summer fashions? Also, even if I were as young as these girls and their size, I wouldn't want to show off my skin in this way. Can't we show good fashion witout showing off all our goods this way? Also, I don't think the threft store look is fashionable for your average jane. I am just not impressed.

I see only two things that are actual trends:
1. Mixed print (OK if done right)
2. Socks with heels (please don't do it)
I'm not going to count pastel nails because I see this on little girls on Easter, I guess you can call them fashion forward.

I don't know what Scary Spice was thinking giving this baby girl a mowhawk! I bet when this child grows up she is going to tell scary about herself and how humiliating she made her as a baby.
I heard Eddie is stepping more to the plate with his child these days. Well, its a day late and a dollar short! Perhaps if he had a better relationship with the child and her mother he could have sweet talked her into not cutting this babies hair like this.

Just as Ivalentine said, its true that alot of these styles are only given a "thumbs up" or acceptable nod if it is adorned by someone in the entertainment industry. For instance, a deliberate ensemble that showcases an intricately designed bra, yet through that of a sheer blouse would not work in the day to day lives of most, not even out on the town for an evening, without a look of discust or being sneered by onlookers.
It does give the average 'JoAnn' a wider range of styles to consider though when choosing to dress a little risque - and all the colors and animal prints are great for summer wear.

All of these styles are ridiculous and classless. We want nice, gorgeous, girly, classy, and beautiful garments that will enhance our beauty...not clothing that will make us look tacky(no offense)

"I don't know why these Beautiful Successful Black Celebrity women have to look like trash with there dressing (Example) Janet Jackson looks great with the short hair cut but, cheapens herself by wearing a sheer top exposing her Bra she's to old to dress like a slut this cries out desperate Vanessa Simmons is young and can wear this style and she looks pretty good for a woman her age now "Rhianna sad to say ever since she got the shi#@$% beat out of her she's been looking slutty and whoorish ever since poor girl she has been looking like a street walker ever since she used to be so sexy and stylish looking now she looks worse than a Hollywood Hooker turning $5.00 tricks Beyonce is very talented and dresses so nasty she used to look good now it's like she's trying to prove herself she seems very desperate and I, am so tired of her gyrating and exposing her crotch she isn't classy looking and elegant anymore these women are already sexy it's like they are over doing it where they look cheap it's sad that young girls think they have to show alot of skin the funny part about it is that a Male likes a woman who dresses like a lady a sexy sundress always turns on a Man but, if you ladies think that tight jeans and showing all of wares will get you Married it will get you a 1 night stand but, nothing else remember when you dress you leave a persoanl statement about who you are so no need to be the sleeze don't let these women in the Media influence you to dress like whores have morals about yourself ladies skanky dressing is for women on the street not you...respect yourself

If you're looking simply to be comfortable, then you could rock it like my girl Erykah. Its obvious, she's got that 'ef it' kind of attitude, right? Look, we're talking hair half braided and half fro'd, a jacket that looks at least one size too small, like maybe it belonged to one of her kids, stretched out and wrinnkly sweats, and then wraps it all up with a multi-colored scarf and sunglasses!
If she walks too close to anybody's circus she's liable to get snatched up to be the latest attraction - but, the truth is, as off as her style is (not to mimmicked by anyone), she's determined to dress in what's comfortable for her, no matter what other people think. Sure, we all say we don't care what's in the minds of others, but most of us do.
I admire Erykah on her boldness alone. Sure, its a fine line between looking fashionable and looking like a bum, but the stride and confidence that accompanies it is awesome.
