The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund collection is bringing designer duds to Gap. Among the designers to be featured this year is Sophie Theallet. Theallet's work became known to the masses after our stylish first lady Michelle Obama was spotted in one of her dresses last year. Now, you can get your own version of the dress at Gap.
Theallet told Women's Wear Daily that "she was inspired to 'make beautiful dresses that would give [a hint to the Gap customer] what [she] is all about. They're easy to wear and happy and colorful for summer.'
The designs are not too far off from her regular collections but were able to be made more accessible, i.e. cheaper, because of the materials used. Instead of the pieces being finished by hand like her regular collection, the Gap pieces were finished by machine. So if you are interested in the Gap version of Mrs. O's dress, the dress is about $248. Considering that her pieces typically retail around $2000, that seems like a steal!

I loathe Michelle Obama and find it hilarious that the Media trys to make her into some sort of style icon. She and her husband have very little class and I cannot wait for their term to be over .
