I really don't think the jacket has anything to do with age. Monica is not that old, and I definitely think that a 10 year old would look too mature in it. I just think that the jacket itself is unappealing. It reminds me of something that should be worn on the classic star trek shows, but Monica herself is a young woman who dresses and carries herself with a lot of sophistication and style and she tends to favor outfits with big ruffled up sleeves and collars which I think are overpowering on her petite frame.
