Not too long after, international brand Marc Jacobs also unofficially announced it would start carrying clothing in sizes larger than a size 14. According to the Guardian, Marc Jacobs president Robert Duffy tweeted that the company is in the early stages of planning a plus-size range.
Though 34 percent of Americans over 20 are considered overweight or obese, designers historically hesitated to create big sizes because they thought larger women didn't spend money on pricey designer clothes. But with a growing number of plus sized yet stylish women like Mo'Nique, Gabourey Sidibe, and Queen Latifah on red carpets and the increasing popularity of stores like Torrid, it's clear that catering to this demographic is a sure way to build a brand and increase its bottom line.

I think it's wonderful that all women of any size at all, will actually be given the same opportunity to buy stylish clothing in stores that has previously only been available to standard sizes. I can't beleive how shallow people are in our society. For all womens of different shapes and sizes ......Love whatever size your in! Just be happy.

You'd have to be an idot if you think that beauty is only in range of 0-12. I'm always ranging from 12-16 and my man gets down right up tight when my a-- is at 12. Oh and speaking of me, the entire package is game tight and why not dress as such. I wonder if Eric and SNJ are envious of volumptous women or did something happen that has you fellows short sighted with the fuller figured women? Tell us who took your boo? As for the designers, make those clothes cause we make that dough! I know personally, it's wonderful to stay dolled up and fat with ego. Mama now needs to go and flaunt her fabulous curves!

By the way, I think this girl "Precious" Whoever the designer is that they should of left her busom more open so that you could see more cleavage. Also, they should of put her on a push up bra with this dress. You know don't make her look so tied up around the neck because on most big women the neck is already short. So, they should of opened it up just a little. Designer... Step Yo Game Up!!! We don't want her to look too old. After all she is still yound. We don't want her to look grandma-eey. lol. She look's nice it's just too closed in.
