The NAACP Theatre Awards, the annual ceremony recognizing outstanding people of color in theater, took place last night in Beverly Hills, Calif. Actors such as
Nia Long, Meagan Good and
Mo'Nique Coleman attended the event in a host of well-plucked gowns. Who do you think won the award for best dressed?
Meagan Good followed the white-gown trend of the Emmy Awards, opting for a one-shoulder dress with a cutout detail and mesh back. She accented her look with diamond hoop earrings that reflected the sequins peppering the bodice of her gown.
Mo'Nique Coleman looked lovely in a drape-neck green dress and strappy silver sandals. She kept her accessories simple so her curly updo could shine.

Nia Long sizzled in an asymmetric peach empire-waist gown. Her signature short haircut underscored her simple makeup and white-stone chandelier earrings.
Fresh Prince alum Tatyana Ali went for safe in a little black dress and black sandals. Brilliantly coiffed hair brought her look to red-carpet level.
Twin Tamera Mowry sparkled in a strapless champagne frock with a frilly skirt. Her perfectly coordinated outfit oozed fab, down to her well-manicured fingernails.
Ashanti, who won an award for her role in Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz,' vamped it up in a blood-red gown with a mermaid hem. While her dress is eye-catching, her crystal-encrusted sandals and large cocktail ring stole the show.
You can't go wrong with white, as
LisaRaye displayed in this floor-length snow-white gown. The dress' generous silhouette is endlessly flattering, and her chunky, large-linked necklace and bracelet offer a dash of edge.
Lastly,
Naturi Naughton looked simply sweet in a ruched olive cocktail mini. Silver T-strap sandals and chandelier earrings completed the look.

BG- Loser! I was thinking for one minute you could summon up a little bit of dignity and not express your self hate, well, what does one expect from a morally bankrupt fool. Megan Good's dress is smashing as well as the other ladies.....Kim Kadashian wishes she comes close to looking like these sistahs, hence her obsession with black features, and running after loser blackmen with poor morals. No matter how much color struck vagabonds like yourself lie to her, her dream of looking like a blackwoman will never come through. First of all within few years gravity will visit her, then come back and post your nonsense. This is meant to acknowledge beautiful sistahs, so take your idiotic comment elsewhere....horse sh!t.

Ashanti looks GLAMBULOUS! From head to toe! Or from toe to head...either way you look at her. Her hair and makeup looks FABULOUS. Her facial expression compliments her gorgeous dress and fly shoes. And her body language is like icing on the cake because it takes ownership of that dress. She really re-envented herself ;) Kudos to her glam squad :)

They all look beautiful too bad that the NAACP spends all day getting Shirley Sherrod fired and is told by white studio heads, who they should and should not give an award to. Like the white owned BET -they are all corporate

Beautiful women!! All are stunning, I'm gonna have to go w/ Ashanti on this one, she is wearing that dress, and appreciating her curves.
All beautiful women, I wish the "rest" of hollywood would take their cues from these women.
