Hot & Heavy Celebs
Jordin Sparks: This pop star has taught legions of young fans that you don't have to be stick thin to be beautiful. Little known fact: Before she won 'American Idol,' she won a model search contest for plus-size store Torrid.
Toccara Jones: Not many plus-size models make it into the pages of Vogue Italia. Then again, not many models of any size make it into that magazine. That Toccara got her own spread in 2008's all-black issue should say something.
Oprah Winfrey: Fans of the wildly successful television personality and businesswoman have seen her weight fluctuate over the years, but most have known for years what Ms. Winfrey seems to have recently figured out -- as long as she's healthy, she looks just right!
Jill Scott: On her HBO show, 'No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,' the new mom plays a woman of "traditional build," but there's nothing traditional about this radiant and talented singer and actress.
Raven-Symone: One of this former child star's missions is to promote self-esteem in young girls. By embracing her curves and resisting the urge to conform to Hollywood's standards, she does this without even trying!
Mo'Nique: Part of her comedy career has been built on making fun of skinny girls. Since Mo'Nique recently dropped some weight to get healthy, she can rep for both sides!
Queen Latifah: Not only is Queen Latifah a triple threat actor, singer and rapper, she's also a CoverGirl. How's that for hot?
Jazmine Sullivan: In a sea of stick-thin R&B girls with weak voices, songstress Sullivan stands out with her major pipes and enviable curves!
Sherri Shepherd: Although the 'View' co-host and new Lifetime sitcom star is shrinking -- she recently donned a swimsuit on air after a summer-long weight-loss challenge -- the bubbly comedian is still has her trademark curves.
Jennifer Hudson: With a beautiful voice and a beautiful personality, J-Hud has stolen hearts and inspired legions of fans.
Sidibe told Elle about how she took a different approach to celebrating her 25th birthday:
"Part of me thought it would be weird if people knew I was a grown-up playing a teenager in 'Precious'. So I had a twenty-first-birthday party [instead]," she said. "We had drinks and went to a strip club called Shotgun Willie's."

My God! This woman is so unattractive! I think she only makes black women look even more ridiculous than most already do! Who needs to promote an image like this? The very last thing that black women need to do is promote another "typical" fat black women! Enough already!

Eric, someone said in another blog series, that all you do is cut and paste...WOW, it IS true... all of your posts have the exact same wording.
You can't even be original, that is so sad...so very very sad. Dayum...just when I thought that disrespecting blk women was your "forte", I feel so cheated out of the real thing.
ROFLMAO....you are literally "basking in the non-existent rays of your own intelligence"
QUICK...tell me what show that came from? LMAO

Hey, stop it. Gabby's weight got her where she is and her weight will get her where God is sending her. Who made you belittling people above it all that you can talk about Gabby's weight, looks, and appearance? She got where she is and is holding her own. She is intelligent, fun, and healthy. She has no problem with being Gabby. Sometimes if God opens windows for you to jump through, you should just jump and keep on running to where it leads you. Gabby, you saw your window when it opened and jumped through, so keep on running and don't look back. I congratulate you.

Oh, please! You're just another ignorant black woman that defends this overweight nonsense even though it's already be proved to be a serious women's health issue! So, you really don't know what you're teven talking about! Here's a factoid that perhaps you don't know, that 80.3% of all black women in the US are either overweight, or obese! And, that's not at all "healthy, and nor it attractive!" In, fact as a result of being the most overweight for all races of women in the US, black women continue to die at an earlier age! And, you say that okay to be in that state? You're obviously a very uninformed person, and more than likely are also another overweight black women yourself! Do your research, before making yourself look stupid!

Fortunately for you, Eric, I won't judge you by how, but by what you write, nor am I going to defend myself against your tirade. You just
remember that the devil too opens windows, and lots of us unkowingly or knowingly) take the low road and dive right in. Be very wary, Eric,
and as for you, case closed.

With the money she has now, I was wondering if she has thought about trying to loose some weight?
PS Green looks really good on her.
