Kevin P. Chavous: College Readiness Is More Than Academics
With the exception of their sister Janet Jackson -- who is a true fashion icon -- the family isn't exactly known for their fashion sense (ahem, Latoya), but that's all about to change with their new brand, J5. According to Women's Wear Daily, the brothers' designs are already getting attention from top retailers like Urban Outfitters and Kitson. Jackie has taken a lead on the project saying, "I've been wanting to do this for a long time." However, he only began to think seriously about it after Michael's funeral.
While items like T-shirts with images of the band from the 60s and 70s will retail for about $32 to $58. Standout pieces like MJ inspired 'Thriller' and 'Beat It' leather jackets, which Jackie calls "the real thing," will go for a pricier $600. Rafi Weisman, the jackets' original creator, will be designing jackets for the line. The brothers also hope to add footwear and sunglasses to the line in the future.

I'm sorry, since the passing of Michael I just don't feel right with this "Jackson 5 Fashion Clothin Line"? We should just keep the Jackson's and Michael's fashion in MEMORY. Why NOW, to start launchin this Fashion Clothin Line? Let me guess, $$$$$? How TACKY and DISPRESPECTFUL! And to put a price of $600 on a piece of original clothing of Michael's is OUTRAGEOUS! We are goin to go there and put a EXPENSIVE PRICE on that?
If the Jackson's wanted to follow in the "Footsteps" like Diddy, and others, why not CREATE SOMETHIN FRESH and "NEW"? Those designers are some of them wanna-be designers are trying to go FOWARD not BACKWARDS. What do yall think, this clothin line is REALLY ABOUT? $$$$$ or KEEPIN THE MEMORIES OF THE LEGEND?

They should be ashamed using Michael things to make money....Michael's brothers have no talent and are pretty lazy.....they want to make a profit off their deceased brother image and hard work.....these clothes are not of the JACKSON 5...these are Michael type of clothes..........form previous video and era...
RIP Michael....I know you are resting now...as you had so many vultures around you...even your crazy family......

We loved Michael Jackson, but ain't nobody feeling no Michael Jackson line of clothing. Those Jacksons will do anything to capitalize off of Michael and they need to stop already. Them white kids of him have enough money. Plus, it looks ridiculous.

Joe Cool, I agree with you. People act like Michael just fell out the sky somewhere. The same people try to talk about Joe Jackson, but them brothers and Katherine were well up in age when Michael came along and who do you think took care of that family all those years when they were just the jacksons living in Gary. Joe did! those are and will forever be his brothers and they worked just as hard during the J5 years as he did. As family memebers they have a right to make money off anything they can. White america and many black haters want us to dislike that family. Rememeber, they gave us Michael, not the other way around as the media and all these groupies would have you believe. Like the bible says, build a house on sand and when it storms it will wash away, build it on rock and it will stand! Michael must have had a mighty firm foundation because that families legacy still lives on!

those guy's are trying to cash in it look's like all there kid's are at the Mother's house half of them don't got job's or pay there child support it look's like to me that they are all trying to make a come back because Michael is not here with us anymore and all the stuff they are trying to sale is Michael's or something he had on in one of his Video's good luck with that Jackson Five it will never work with Michael

I'm SO SICK & TIRED of people talking about the Jackson family and their "alleged" intentions to collect off of THEIR posthumous brother's talents and fortunes and fame. It's THEIR brother/son/father. They can do what they want. SHEESH! If everybody that loved Michael could have one iota of him they would pounce on it like a panther on a deer...including me! I love him too. EMJAY is an "extension" of the WORLD RENOWN "JACKSON 5"! That's where he spun from. Let it go, people. Leave his family alone. It's HIS family. THE JACKSONS.

How come ain't nobody sayin Sh@t about all them crackers making money off Michael's estate and they ain't even related! Ya'll get on here and talk about the family like dogs and ya'll don't know nothing about them people. Michael was truly the greatest entertainer of all time, but he did not belong to "us". He, like all of us, belonged to his family! Period!
