The study also revealed that a minority -- 33% -- of women spend $100 or more on their shoes. 39% prefer flats over anything else, 29% feel comfortable buying shoes online and only 25% have worn shoes that are four inches or higher.
Do you fall within the national average? Or are your shoe-spending habits a little more indulgent?

I am not embarassed? I have no shame in buying a shoe $49 or less. ISH, it's a recession. But, you still have to watch like stores like Payless and others were the shoe be hurtin your feet and not made right. You do get what you pay for? You just got to do your homework and look for good sales. Now, if it was for a special ocassion, then that's different. I would spend a lil more.
I can't believe Celebs like Bey, Ciara, and others spendin $1,000 pair of shoes and more on shoes? They all probably wear a couple times then get put away with all their shoe collections and never were no more? I'm sorry, you can find a nice designer shoes that are similar or the same for a much cheaper price. Everybody can sport a styilsh, comfortable, a affordable price $, and still look FAB!

I think celebs don't pay for all their shoes that cost over $1000...the designers give them a break or give them to them free,,they are walking advertisements..we see the picture,,love the shoe, ask who makes it,,then try to buy it...
I feel better after reading this,,I normally pay 40 or below..I do notice since I am older I can't wear cheap shoes,,I find them on sale at Macy's, JC Penny, Boscoves, Shoe outlets etc.
Only shoes I have paid over 100 bucks for are for tall leather boots.
I never wear a heel over 2 inches, I sometimes admire the women who can wear 4 inches or more.
I used to love flats, but with age, they do not feel good either anymore,,

Whatever women pay for shoes it's too much. We are constantly being ripped off because shoes, clothes etc. (that are usually made in China) cost pennies on the dollar to make. We are dp naive as consumers, and that goes for men and women.

As consumers we all need to read "Stop Acting Rich and Start Living Like A Real Millionaire." The premise of the book is (REAL) millionaires don't spend / waste their money on a bunch of shigady; usually only people that (don't really) have any money do this.

The point is; the reason we don't have any money, and aren't millionaires is bc we waste a lot of money on nonsense,i.e.,clothes, shoes, cars (that we can't really afford), etc.
