Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are awaiting the arrival of their twins, and the couple has already begun prepping their Bel Air, California estate and New York City home for the babies. Carey reportedly hired world-famous interior decorators to design a cozy spaces for the twins and reportedly spent $100,000 on the designs.
"I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies. Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities," Mariah Carey reported to 'Life & Style' magazine in the latest issue on now on newsstands.
Mario Buatta designed the New York City nursery and the California nursery was designed by Gail Sedigh of AFK Furniture. It has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars based on two songs Carey wrote, 'Underneath the Stars' and 'Close My Eyes.'
"Sometimes I just sit in the nursery and stare at the ceiling because I love it so much. To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled," she told 'Life & Style'.
The platinum nursery will give the babies a fresh start into lives of luxury but Carey said "it's going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded. One thing I'm sure of is that I'll be grateful for the twins every day, no matter what."

I'm sorry, but you speak just like a poor person. Let's not forget that $100 grand to Mariah is like $10 or maybe $1 to people with no or little money. At 42 this is Mariah's first & possibly last pregnancy. I don't see any issue with her decorating her babies nursery in a way that is pleasing to her. Once they're a little older, no doubt she will have another room filled with educational/learning objects and what not, if she doesn't already.
It always amazes me how people suggest what others should do with their money. Mariah is still writing songs, making records and getting seriously paid. Nick is also doing very well. They are very rich and are not the ones in a recession and like many well to do people I'm sure they donate plenty of their money and time to causes/issues that are close to their hearts. So please let her spend her money on her babies the way she sees fit.
Congrats to you Mariah! I know these babies will bring you and your husband much joy.

Sweetheart, I am far from BROKE! Don't let my writing, my slang, or words FOOL YA DUMB BEHIND? You don't know a DAMN ABOUT ME? I have a right to my own DAMN OPINION it not called HATE! I don't think you know the difference? I don't sit up on the blogs worrying about this one and that one why they don't agree with me? So why are you and WHY DO YOU CARE? You totally MISSED the WHOLE point where I was getting at? I wasn't the only one up on here saying the same thing? I see you just wanted to TARGET ME for some reason? Jealousy, is what I am thinking? I didn't' talk bad about the couple. I can say what I want about how they spend their $$$$$ if you like it or NOT? Do you know, MOST OF THAT $$$$$ could have also went towards their CHILDREN'S FUTURE/SAVINGS/COLLEGE FUND? Did Mimi go to college? This is all POSITIVE THINKING! It seems to me, you and a lot of people are about MATERIALASTIC THINGS, TITLES, $$$$$, and all CAUGHT UP in the WORLD'S WAY. Sweetheart, it's nice to have $$$$, not knocking sista for earning it, but I was just had an opinion about Celebs and her on UNECESSARY SPENDING? You can buy your children anything you want and don't have to spend a lot just to make things nice. At the same time, teach your children to make wise decisions in life, teach them to be humble, blessed, thankful, and $$$$$, FAME does not make who YOU ARE! There is MORE TO LIFE than $$$$$, FAME, and a TITLE! Mimi sure wasn't born with $$$$ & FAME? What I said probably went over your head, so there is no need for me to go on? Your problem is, you need to FOCUS more on what you are making comment on and the blog and not on others like ME!

Apparently you don't have any children and don't a infants NEEDS to make a stupid comment like that? You got to start NOW, have EDUCATIONAL TOYS, VISUAL TOYS, ECT... TO STIMULATE The infants NOW! Little stuffed animals here and there is NOT GOING TO GET IT! You said when they get older? So, you want them to be STIMULATED BY WATCHING CRYSTAL CHANDALEARS ON THE CEILING, LOOKING AT THE INTERIOR DECORATIONS, SILK FLOWERS,ect... CHILD PULEEEEEEZ! Looks like a room for JUST HER? If you think that is good for an infant and is a GOOD ENVIORMENT, there is something wrong with YOU? What, she is suppose to get learning toys,ect.. when the children are about 1 or 2 years old? I'm done, your way of thinking is NOT THINKING?

Wow! I see someone can't handle the truth. You got all that from my 2 little paragraphs? Boy, I would say that you really need to get a grip. The only thing that you really should take away from it is that Mariah is filthy rich, will most likely be so until the day she dies, her children will want for nothing and she can do whatever she wants to do with her money. And one last thing, why in the world would I be jealous of someone I don't even know who shows obvious signs of mental issues?
