This site is called Black Voices so it is aimed at black folks, daaaaa! The First Lady always looks so attractive and stylish, love her colors! Halle is pretty as a picture and glad that you show that women are hot after 40 and not ignored! Looking good Ladies! Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!

At long last America has a First Lady whose style of dress can be worn by any woman in America and look stylish. No longer do we have to be half dressed or wear clothes which look like our second skin to be considered dressed stylish. Thank you Mrs. Machelle Obama for wearing clothes which give women dignity and pride.

Well said MssyLady-I noticed black media keeps throwing the First Lady (who I respect her style) in with "entertainers" to cover up doing the same o same o. I wouldn't have chosen Toni or Halle (who I don't admire their style) for this article but it's about who's pimping a project.....

There are many things to admire about Michele but she does not look all that hot in the clothes she wears. Especially if comparing her to models as this article does. Michelle just is not that pretty face-wise or body wise. Personally, I do not find her a fashion icon. She looks like a typical 40 year old mother who has a dollar to buy clothing. I think the newspapers just have never seen well to do professional black women before and think Michelle is special or else think so little of her that all they can talk about is her clothing.

To JM why wouldn't you consider Ms. Obama pretty in the face, or nice body. Because she dosen't look like a video queen and don't wear a bunch of weave on her head.The article is talking about fashion not their looks or their figure. GROW-UP!

I am black w/o the weave and have 2 teenage daughters w/o the weave and all my friends feel sorry for me because I do watch MTV with my children. She just is not all that pretty as the media wants to portray her.Likewise, where I live most of the girls are prettier than the what I see in the videos or Top Model. You either are pretty or are not. Just because you admire someone does not make them pretty. Pretty is a gift from God and your parents as I tell my 2 girls.
As for fashion, a lot of what she wears really does not look good on her and some of what she wears looks great. This is why I say she has no fashion sense. At her age, she should know what she looks good in and knows she will be photographed so she should not wearing anything unbecoming. Age 16 is the age to buy it because it is out there and be too dumb to look in a mirror. After 30, even if no one is selling it, you should have reserves in your closet of things you look good in.
