Beautiful Black Athletes
Laila Ali is a former professional boxer, model, business woman and now a mother. She juggles all her hats while looking beautiful. Papa Muhammad Ali must be proud.
Florence Griffith-Joyner aka Flo-Jo died of an epilepsy seizure in 1988 but before her passing she held the title of "the fastest woman in the world" for her reign in the 100 and 200 meter sprints at the 1998 Summer Olympics. Her flashy style, fast feet and beauty are still remembered today.
Before the beautiful runner fell from grace and returned her gold medals in 2007, Marion Jones dominated the track. At the 2000 Olympic games she became the first woman to win five track and field gold medals at a single Olympics. Now she joined the WNBA and is on the path to repairing her reputation.
Serena Williams is a powerhouse and she and sister Venus have dominated the tennis court since their start with braids, hair beads in the 1990s. But off the court Serena pushes the envelope with her fashion choices and never shys away from the spotlight.
Dominique Daweswas one of the first black gymnasts to show off her talents and is still the only black gymnast to have won a gold medal. Years after her gold medal win at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games her contributions to the sport are appreciated and she's keeping busy as the media analyst to the co-chair of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition and co-host of Yahoo! News' Weekend Edition.
Lisa Leslie is a statuesque beauty at 6'5'' and a three-time WNBA MVP and a four-time Olympic gold medal winner. She's also a mom, has modeled for Vogues and an actress guest starring in several sitcoms like "The Game." She's a woman that does it all.
Cheyenne Woods is Tiger Wood's niece and the young golfer seems to be following in her uncle's footsteps and is already a force to be reckoned with at Wake Forest University. But lucky for her she seems to have inherited the pretty genes.
Older sister to Serena Williams Venus WIlliams has been a tennis ace since she was a preteen in Compton, California. At a slender 6'1" she has the height of a model and dresses her figure well during her matches and in her everyday life.
Wilma Rudolpk survived the Great Depression, segregation, and September 7th, 1960, in Rome, Wilma became the first American woman, black or white, to win 3 gold medals in the Olympics.
Debi Thomas was one of the first black figure skaters to receive recognition and won the World Figure Skating Championships in 1986 and won a medal in the 1988 Winter Olympic Games which took place in Calgary, Canada.

I would have to say that you missed Vonetta Flowers who was the first AA to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics when she won (with a partner) in the bobsled event in 2002.

RIP Mrs. Joyner. I went to high school in E. St. Louis, IL with Jackie Joyner Kersee and this family has serious athletic talent!!!! Jackie used to try and get me to play sports. I was lazy and she had talent hahahaha
