From Fashionista.com:
Remember those crappy Fourth of July t-shirts Old Navy used to sell every year? (They may still do it, who knows....) Well, the retailer is taking the idea of a commemorative shirt in a more progressive direction with a collection of gay pride-themed T-shirts for men, women, and babies.

The best news: 10% of the proceeds go to the It Gets Better Project, a campaign launched by writer Dan Savage that aims to help gay kids get through those beyond difficult teenage years by showing them videos that capture the lives of gay adults who made it. The site's slogan reads: "Many LGBT youth can't picture what their lives might be like as openly gay adults. They can't imagine a future for themselves. So let's show them what our lives are like, let's show them what the future may hold in store for them."

It's people that are negative and make a big deal out of things that make this world so wrong....I am a very open minded person, and whether you are straight, gay, ect,,,,,does not matter!!(we are not born with labels) It's the person inside that matters.....So, please STOP putting down people for the life style they choose....My hat goes off to Old Navy!!!!

Only the truly insecure feel the need to broadcast their preferred sexuality.
My real preference is revealed behind closed doors.
I don't need a t-shirt to let everyone know how "proud" I am of who or what I choose to be sexually attracted to.
Old Navy, Abercrombie and stores of the like all use the same sexually charged marketing tactics (without regard or concern) for the young and impressionable "children" that buy their clothes.
It's all about the benjamins and just how (low) they can go to desensitize people into believing everything is ok with all their pre-meditated tee hee hee and lol B.S.

AMEN.... I don't have anything againt being gay or "bi"... but our children are getting this message at a very young age.. A couple years ago the fad at the Middle/High Schools was self-injury.. now more than half the kids are "bi"!! because it's the in thing. Who knows what will be next.

Patti, you and the others making similar comments are pathetic excuse for human beings. The heteros don't need an 'It's okay to be straight' tshirt. It,s crammed down America's throats that being straight (and they usually add white) is the only way that is okay.
If you people were constantly being told how disgusting and sick you are just for existing you'd want a bit of support here and there.
And I am soooo sick of this statement 'I have nothing against gays but'that basically translates to I do have a problem with them and why won't they leave us normal people alone. You may as well be telling them to go sit in the back of the bus and drink from seperate water fountains. Let me tell you, you so called normal people are nothing special. You want everyone to be and do exactly the same as you and sorry but that isn't the way it goes. In my opinion being normal is pretty darn boring and uninteresting.
