Actress Viola Davis glowed in a purple jewel toned gown at the 65th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday. Last year the two time Tony Award winner starred in 'Fences' alongside Denzel Washington and at this year's Broadway celebration she was a presenter. Her lovely dress gathered at the midsection and showed off her delightful figure. Davis pulled her look together with black satin pumps, a matching clutch, dangle earrings and a cropped bob.

My daughter attended Juilliard and hated it but never stop raving about meeting Viola Davis and other talented black grads there. Meeting Angela Bassett and Courtney (Yale grads) was the highlight of her stay in NYC! My baby is the reason I saw Color Purple live with the original cast. As she jokes "Mom you got to see it before R&B stars ruined it!" HOLLAAA!
We went to see "Get Rich or Die Trying" to support her Juilliard classmate (played Fiddys Mom, and Viola Davis, grandmother)! She doesn't miss the school but the friends she made who are all still doing movies, TV etc.
