Venus Williams is getting hit with a lot of criticism for her latest fashion choice, despite playing an excellent game at Wimbeldon earlier this week, winning a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan in just 59 minutes. But with all the shocking outfits, Venus and younger, more risque sister Serena have worn, you'd think critics would be desensitized to their revealing outfits.

"It's a jumper," Venus told the San Francisco Chronicle of her outfit." Jumpers are very now, kind of trendy right. The back is kind of, I don't know, like a cutout or a peek-a-boo. I'm always trying to do something different and fun."

Venus,
I know you're a designer and like to showcase your designs on the court than on the runway...(that's genius by the way!) However, I'm NOT feeling that outfit. It looks too much like a bunch of linen napkins stiched together. Not flattering at all. That being said, DO YO THANG GIRL! I like the fact that you take fashion chances on the court. Noone else is doing this so I bet when you finally hang up your racket you'll still be mentioned during matches and not just for your skill with a tennis racket.

These two women are expressing themselves through their fashion and there is nothing wrong with that. No matter how outlandish some of their outfits maybe it is still their expression of the love each of them have for design.
There will always be people on all sides of the race wheel whom dislike everything about these two sisters simply because they bring color to a scene that would be void of any were they not there so I for one say good job Venus and Serena, Shake that tree until all of the haters fall.

Yeah, Clarice. But this "get up" doesn't look that bad, for fashion tennis, lol. But, jokes aside. Venus and Serena are millionaires who design. Let's let them do their thing. As long as they win, then its all good.

As long as they are winning I don't think they care what "we" think. I'm sure they are dressing for themselves and could care less what every1 else has 2 say. IF they were like every1 else they wouldn't be where they are today. Damn can sumbody be different?

The sistas are TREND SETTERS!!! No black woman or man, ever entered a virtual all white sport and dominated so easily... I read maybe three or four years ago that the sisters were over the hill and through. What nit-cum-poop would believe that. Oh I know, wishful thinking extreme!!! THE WILL BE DOMINATING FOR A WHILE… By the way I don’t like the outfit (BUT BEAUTY IS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER). Everyone out here commit has had a bad dress day, EVERYONE… AND THE SISTERS DO NOT REFLECT A ANYONES COMMUNITY. Let alone the black community. If they did we may not want to see them at all even if they were dressed like the First Lady. Go girls

Look Venus, I love your tennis game and enjoy watching you play. But, I believe you need to go back to Design School. Some of your designs are too far out there, I mean weird. Someone in your camp should tell you not to wear the things you are designing. STOP the designing, it is not your fortae.
