Maybe blue eyeshadow isn't so bad after all.

I'd like to know what role will Sister Zoe will playing in her up-coming movie, "Columbiana" And what is it about? Will she acting-out the role of Black woman from the Caribbean? And lastly, "does she affirms her Africaness as African American or African Caribbean? Not as an Afro Latina, please!!

It is impossible to fall out of love. Love is such a powerful emotion, that once it envelops you it does not depart. True love is eternal. If you think that you were once in love, but fell out of it, then it wasn't love you were in. There are no 'exit' signs in love, there is only an 'on' ramp.

@Ali. This woman ain't no "sister," she's a fraud. She considers herself to be "Latina" not Black, and won't take any role where she has romantic relations with brothers. She's a dark-skinned Hispanic imposter who's stealing the precious few roles available for real Black actresses in Hollywood.

Beloved, Chaka, I can almost agree with you about her--Zoe--being a fruad. But she's not! She's a sister from the Caribbean, where there are many, many black people of African ancestry. She's not a Latin/Latina. She's an African Caribbean born in the Dominican Republic, just as I am born in Cuba.
But haplessly, many of OUR people (who are black by shade and race) from the Dominican Rep., often find themselves negating their Africanness. Besides, "what is a Latin/Latino(a)? Please get back to me and expound on the identity of a Latin/Latina, Latino?

You are missing the point.
Just because Zoe accepted roles with black females and the character bones a black dude does not mean she identifies with her African lineage and race; she has said, "I am Latina." She has not admitted nor accepted that she is black, as she is one of many black people who think it's more socially (and financially) advantageous to say they are anything BUT black. She is reaping the benefits of the rare black female roles, but denying her affiliation with us. I know white-looking black folks who know where the hell they stand in this world--what's up with this fool???
She is a self-deluded phony and she needs to wake up and smell the soul food. You'd better believe if a Klansman had his say, he'd call her the 'N' word, not 'Latina.'

Zoe is Black and it doesn't matter if her mother is Puerto Rican. Her father is Dominican and that makes her BLACK. She was born in New Jersey. Not all Africans who left or were stolen from Africa came to America. Our ancestors have planted seeds in many countries. She's a sistah from head to toe. Zoe Saldana will always be one of us. It does not matter who she dates or marries or do love scenes with...she will always be BLACK. Our blackness is not defined by who we socialize with. Therefore, she should not have to denounce her Puerto Rican bloodline just to please anybody. I know I would not and my mom’s father is Scottish and my father is Black I have locs and my eyes are green and sometimes they turn bluish green.
Zoe's new movie is about a child who witnesses her parent’s murder and that image sticks with her and that image grows into the burning desire to kill the people responsible. She trains for years to be able to seek revenge against those who killed her parents. Zoe doesn't look like an assassin but I saw the previews and boy does she kick some booty. Columbia is going to be a hit for sure.
Barack Obama 2012 for sure. Michelle Obama is the best First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt.
