Africa, as a continent, has always been known for its bright, vivid colors -- seen in everything from vibrant woven textiles to lively painted buildings to the traditional way of dress. "Africolor," a new exhibition which opened at Danziger Projects in New York last week, focuses on these subjects, as well as its connections with color photography. The show features many works from Italian photographer Daniele Tamagni, as well as other European and African artists.

Reminds me of the "minstrels'. This photographer needs to stop trying to portray Africans negatively via these awful photographs. This appears staged and condescending. Stay in your own lane because you are clueless. Been to Africa numerous times and have never seen images as you portray here.

I have to completely agree! Where does BV's get this nonsense! Well, I guess that since most black folks haven't, and won't ever get to the motherland then what do they know anyway? Beleive you me this isn't Africa, or at least the one that i saw while there.

I love this. I would wear this with the African Cats pendant by Alex Woo. A percentage of the proceeds go to saving the wildlife in Africa. I love wearing it with bright colors and prints it looks so cute!
