Former book editor, Janet Hill Talbert has taken her love of words and turned it into scripture to create her inspirational line of jewelry, On This Rock, NYC. "The collection centers around cuffs that I like to think of as Wonder Woman bracelets that empower with the strength of the 23rd Psalm, one of the most beloved scriptures in the Bible,'' explains Hill Talbert. Why should Cinderella be the only one to rejoice when the slipper fits?

Talani Rabb-Diggs and her sister, Celeste Burton, CEOs of the new shoe company and website, Montaege.com, waved their manufacturing wand to come to the rescue of women all across the land who wear just the right shoe size: size 9 1/2-13.

This is not a fairy tale: some sisters really are doing it for themselves. Take Rabb-Diggs and Burton, who have an awful lot in common: Both are tall, fashionable married mothers and world class shoe shoppers who got so fed up with sales clerks around the globe spouting these not-so-magic words every time either zoned in on the footwear of their desires -- "Sorry, but we don't have those in your size" -- that they decided to take matters into their own business hands last year by founding Montaege.

Montaege's mission? To offer the growing number of women around the globe who wear shoe sizes 9 1/2-13 an exquisite line of footwear for every occasion at guilt-free prices.

"Right from conception in 2007, we had a clear-cut agenda for our company. Aside from making sure we manufactured high-quality footwear at an excellent price point, we also made a conscious decision to offer footwear from sandals to boots that incorporated both classic and trendy styles in the collection,'' said Rabb-Diggs, who was recently married to Bobby Diggs, better known by his stage name RZA, a rapper and producer for Wu-Tang Clan.

Sarah, one of the ubiquitous neighborhood "bench warmers'' who indulges in the same morning ritual -- sans the bagel or coffee (actually, the only thing I've ever seen her consume with gusto is gossip), turned to me and chirpily commented, "You look like you've lost weight!''
