The future of fashion is upon us and robotic, warrior-esque fashion is at its forefront. With metallic details, bold shoulders and form fitting attire, fashion has indeed been inspired by the movies of the 80s and what they thought we would be wearing by 2000. Well fashionistas, that time as arrived.

Japanese engineers at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology unveiled the HRP-4C humanoid robot this last week in Tokyo, a robotic model that made her runway debut at the start of Japan fashion week on Monday.

Move over 80s, this spring the 90s are ruling city streets with the return of ripped jeans. Celebs have been seen rocking this trend and spending hundreds of dollars on designer denim. But you, my budget fashionista, can achieve this look with a good pair of scissors and an inexpensive, well-fitting pair of jeans. You can go crazy with massive rips or tiny tears. Just place the holes where you want them -- knee and thigh areas are the best spots. Then wash the denim, throw it in the dryer and, just like that, you will be in step with this cutting edge look!

Rihanna kept the rips small and sporadic.

Ah-ten-tion! Forward march... right into spring's military-inspired jackets! This style has been around for many years and pops up every so often. Michael Jackson was one of the first to wear this trend, and now designers are creating military-inspired jackets, fashion junkies are rocking them and celebrities can't get enough.

In the 1980s Michael Jackson wore his crystal-studded high-commander, military-inspired jacket to red carpet events. Today we see stars like Kanye West confidently wear this style in a fresh way.

Letoya Luckett is one lucky lady. She has bounced back from the drama and humiliation of leaving award-winning, diva group, Destiny's Child and has gone on to deliver her successful 2006 album, 'Letoya.' Now Ms. Letoya fabulously gears up for her second solo album, 'Lady Love,' which hits stores March 24th.

Besides music, the songbird also loves fashion. In 2003, Luckett opened an upscale women's boutique in her hometown of Houston, Texas called Lady Elle Boutique. The store, which has been opened for over five years, features brands such as: Miss Me, Sky, Ed Hardy, and Joe Jeans. There are rumors of a second location opening in Miami, Atlanta or another location in Houston.

Letoya brings a laid-back, sexy look to her trendy-but-timeless style. Her no-fuss sex kitten approach makes women want to go shopping with her and men just want to shop for her. Like we said, Letoya Luckett is one lucky lady!

Here are a few fab looks from Letoya Luckett.

Ladies, grab your Bag, Borrow or Steal bags, thank the fashion gods and head on over to your nearest Target. Alexander McQueen has partnered with the moderately-priced retail chain to design a rock and roll/punk line with hints of Britain.

This week, Target launched Designer Collaborations with McQueen, who will create a version of his McQ collection, called McQ Alexander McQueen for Target. Designer Collaborations will be an ongoing program at Target, which will bring a series of established designers to the masses at affordable prices.

The line will feature lightweight sweaters, skinny jeans, bubble dresses, slim skirts and cuffed shorts. Stand-out pieces include a coated cotton poplin black trench, a rock 'n' roll gray denim cropped studded jacket, a men's wear-inspired tuxedo blazer and a color-blocked one-shoulder dress with bubble hem. The collection will also include swimwear and cotton voile print scarves.

Stilettos, platforms, wedges, kitten heels (or any heel for that matter) are major this spring. But in order to keep in step with the trends, try to find signature shoes constructed with interesting fabrics and design. The kind that allow you to keep your attire simple and muted, and let your shoes do the walking and talking for you. For those fashion gals who simply cannot wear heels, invest in some Dr. Scholl's products. If that doesn't work, we say suffer through it. It's fashion!

Prada's platforms have an interesting mix of python, canvas and leather easily making these shoes a great statement as well as conversation piece.

With the great success of 'Slumdog Millionaire' (the film won eight Academy Awards, seven BAFTA Awards, five Critics' Choice Awards and four Golden Globes), Americans are recognizing the wonderful world of Indian culture. This spring, Indian fashion plays a major role in Americana style, with influences from glitzy Bollywood to the slums of Mumbai.

Let's pay homage to Indian designers and their fabulous fashion!

Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla

This Mumbai-based design duo began with interiors and graduated to fashion. The pair popularized the use of traditional Indian "shadow" embroidery on georgette fabric, reviving a technique from the Mughal era. Abu-Sandeep, as they are known, have dressed top film stars in Bollywood and Hollywood for more than two decades. In addition to India's Bachchan family and Dimple Kapadia, Western stars such as Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Judi Dench and Sophie Marceau are also known to be fans.
