It may not be a surprise but two more rapper/moguls have joined the now crowded market of celebrity scents--both Queen Latifah and Fifty Cent are cashing in on their fame by officially dropping fragrances this fall. The Queen has paired up with licensee Parlux, who we reported earlier inked deals with Rihanna, Kanye West and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, and portfolio includes scents from Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson. Latifah is no stranger to the beauty world - she's served as a Cover Girl model for Procter & Gamble since 2001 and helped create Cover Girl's Queen Collection of makeup for women of color. Here is a shot of her looking regal in red in the upcoming ad, which is slated to appear in magazines this fall.

The ruby-red bottle was inspired by "the color of sexiness and love," the Queen told WWD. It's a square shape "to represent the strength of a woman," while a raised heart represents beauty from within.

There's no doubt about it, music legend Michael Jackson was the King of Pop in more ways than one. The outfits worn since the young age of 9 did exactly what his well-deserved moniker suggests-- "pop". Since the late '70s, Jackson put as much as emphasis into his carefully selected wardrobe as he did into his music and dance moves. Even until his last days on earth, Jackson never failed to deliver an endless parade of "shine" to remind you he was the biggest pop star on the planet--there was always a careful mix of sequins, glitter, Lurex, studs, metallic added for standout style. Before hip-hop's obsession with diamonds during the Bling Era in the 1990s Jackson blinged us out in a glitter-y Lurex catsuit in his music video for 'Rock With You' in 1979. Screw Mr.T, Michael Jackson is the original "King of Bling"

Michael Jackson: The orginal King of Bling in 2001
In the book I co-authored, Astrology Uncut: The Street Smart Guide to The Stars, we referenced Jackson in the chapter for his astrological sign of Virgo. Virgos are obsessed with fashion more than any other sun sign, and Jackson truly exemplified this through the myriad of over-the-top styles he has worn over the years. With the Virgo's quest for perfection, (which Jackson took into overdrive with cosmetic surgery as well) they have a penchant for adding an element of bling when it comes to their style. Let's not forget the glitter glove and socks worn for his iconic "Billie Jean" performance at the "Motown 25" show in 1983 and the amped-up, sequins military jackets he pioneered in 1984. The military look is eau current, one of the hottest trends today; revived recently by high-priced European designers such as Balmain who came out with a Jackson-inpired $8,000 jacket we recently reported have been worn by Beyonce, Rihanna and copied by Kanye West and Jennifer Hudson. Even fastfood fashion chain Target has a knockoff version on the racks on the cheap.
We honor Michael Jackson's legacy by featuring snapshots that captured some of his greatest moments in fashion:

British accessory luxury brand Jimmy Choo will design a line of shoes and handbags for fast fashion Swedish retail chain H&M. In Hollywood, Jimmy Choo shoes are the red-carpet essential, (only bested sometimes by French shoe brand Christian Louboutin) worn at the Oscars by winners such as Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank and many other A-listers including Taraji P. Henson and Alicia Keys. The brand caught worldwide attention when following the release of Elton John's "Four Inches" book in 2005 where tons of female celebrities including Kimora Lee Simmons, Iman, Serena Williams, Paris Hilton and Christina Aguilera posed nude wearing only a pair of Choos and Cartier diamond jewelry, later singer Macy Gray performed nude onstage wearing only a pair of Choos in a London concert to support Elton John's AIDS Foundation.

So you still haven't picked up a Father's Day gift for your loved one and scrambling for last-minute options? Here's our list of a few super cool finds. We strongly recommend an item from the Russell Simmons' ArgyleCulture Jewelry Collection by Simmons Jewelry Co. It just dropped in time for Father's Day. The pieces were inspired by his very classic, anti-urban ArgyleCulture clothing line and has been worn by some of the hottest celebrities like Boris Kodjoe. Prices range from $150-$850 and is available exclusively at kay.com and select Kay Jewelers. To find out more about all of Simmons Jewelry Co.'s collections check out www.simmonsjewelryco.com.

Rufus dress shirts are another great option for Father's Day. The brand has quite a celebrity following--Billy Bush of 'Access Hollywood', Toure and 'SNL's Andy Samberg are just a few who wear the shirts, which exemplify great taste. Inspired by the traditional elements of London's Saville Row blended with contemporary American style, Rufus created unique looks for the "updated traditionalist." Rufus means RED in Latin, meaning: bold, charismatic, and undeniable. Their distinctive approach to the mixing of colors, fabrications, and patterns, and trademark fit makes it uniquely Rufus. Price points are $175-$245 and it's totally worth it. Visit rufus.com for store locations.

For men's scent options we turned to Barney Bishop, a stylish brother who has a really hot men's scent review blog, Fragrantmoments.net. BV on Style asked him to share with us his two top picks of the moment and he sent the following reviews:

"The ingenuity and craftsmanship of American designers contributes so much to our economy and to our culture," said Mrs. Obama in a taped message sent from the White House. "To both legends and the future legends, I am honored to celebrate your craft with you tonight. And on behalf of men and women everywhere, I want to thank you all for making fashion liberating, inspiring, but most of all, fun."

It's one thing as an editor or buyer to see it worn by models on the runways when attending fashion shows--Miss Sixty, Diesel, Baby Phat and Justin Timberlake's William Rast all featured pairs on the catwalk, but to see it embraced on this level by so many makes it certifiably cool.

The merging of the fashion and technology worlds has become so commonplace that these days designers will slap their label on just about anything tech-y --Prada cellphones, Vivienne Tam laptops and even a Chanel Segway have become all part of the norm. Up next is a video game created by the world's leading makeup artist Pat McGrath, who's now using her creative genius outside of the runway shows and ad campaigns for which she's known. In a partnership with 505 Games and IMG Sports & Entertainment, McGrath (with her fashion insider pal Noel Gordon) will launch video games inspired by elements within the style world. The concept behind the series is to provide fashion fans with an inside peek at the industry's top players, supermodels and runway shows. Think selecting a player that looks like Naomi Campbell and walking backstage at a Chanel fashion show past a fan-waving Karl Lagerfeld. If you're lucky, your Naomi-like character might clock another model with a Blackberry if the hair or makeup isn't right. Wouldn't that be hysterical?

Attendees included Mary J. Blige (who will launch her own namesake his year with Carol's Daughter), actor Dustin Hoffman, Paris Hilton, Queen Latifah, and Kate Walsh (ABC's 'Private Practice').
The 2009 MTV Movie Awards went down last night in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheater, and there were memorable moments both on and off the red carpet. British actor Sasha Baron Cohen's aerial stunt that ended with his bare butt landing on homophobic rapper Eminem's face was the biggest scene stealer of the night. And the other? Gladiator heels. The biggest celeb trend of the night was worn more than any other style (besides, of course, the LBD, or little black dress). There was more experimenting and risk taking than any other awards ceremony because, hey, it's MTV.
Actress Taraji P. Henson stepped out in a short, choppy 'do that topped her short black dress with white print. The ruffle detail in the back made it super haute. I was really feeling Forest Whitaker and his wife, Keisha, both in gray. He wore a suit sans tie with gray-soled Nike Air Dunks. It complemented his wife's silver dress, which flattered her fabulous form quite nicely. The former model consistently puts most women with four children to shame!
Keke Palmer was pretty in a pink dress and gray suede shoes. Rapper Lil' Mama both shocked and disappointed as usual. Although the strapless turquoise dress was a step up for her and softened her a bit, the bright yellow pumps looked cheap and threw off the cute style, which will surely inspire many teens heading to the prom.

Others very deserving of the worst-dressed award included Britney Spears' ex-hubby's baby mama Shar Jackson in a black halter with a chain link print and a red-tipped bob haircut; 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart, who sported a belted dress with Converse sneakers, was more college campus than red-carpet ready; Cameron Diaz in jeans and a leopard print shirt, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter Rumer who rocked an ethnic-inspired getup and Lauren Conrad of 'The Hills,' whose rose-print frock was two thumbs down.
