The name may not ring a bell -- yet -- but the body will. Anansa Sims is one of eight plus-size models who posed naked for Glamour magazine's November issue. But she's not just a pretty face, or body. Sims, a former financial accountant, has as much brains as she does beauty. Oh, and her mother is legendary model Beverly Johnson, the first woman of color to grace the cover of American Vogue in 1974. Since her appearance in Glamour, Sims' career has skyrocketed. In between meetings and shoots, she took the time to chat with BV about family, fame and fashion.

You look sexy and healthy and womanly in Glamour magazine. Was it difficult to get completely naked in a studio with all those people?

It wasn't difficult for me because I felt so confident. I'm very happy with my body, and I knew what this picture in Glamour would mean to women all over the world. If being naked was what the world needed to wake up and see that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes then I wasn't going to miss that experience for anything.

How did you make yourself feel comfortable and not super self-conscious?
I think when you're happy in your own skin, you don't feel self-conscious. I've accepted every curve on my body, and I've learned to love them. If you want someone else to love you, or something about you, it must start within.

The shoot definitely raises awareness about the fashion industry's obsession with thinness. As an insider, do you think the industry is getting better or worse when it comes to this issue?
I feel the industry is getting a lot better. Slowly but surely, things are changing in the right direction. I'm proud to be a part of this much-needed movement. The average woman in America is a size 14, and those women need to be acknowledged and represented.

Can you feel the chill in the air? Doesn't really matter if you are reading this from the frigid East Coast or the balmy West Coast, temperatures are falling. But that doesn't mean your style has to! For the winter season, some of my favorite retailers (Forever 21, anyone?) have launched amazing, festive items that keep you warm and weather appropriate. I won't lie, it was tough finding 10 under $20. But thanks to the hard work, with a $100 or less, you can flaunt priceless style as the temperature dips.

2. Cable-Knit Tights (9.50, oldnavy.com)

Right before Halloween, Moet Hennessy invited me and a short list of twenty nine other journalists to come and taste their brand new cocktail, Black Masquerade, featuring Hennessy's new mixable cognac. The drinks were delicious, the vibe festive and the guests charming.

But nothing really compared to the event's co-host , model and actress Eva Marcille (formerly Eva Pigford), who was there with her equally stunning fiance, actor Lance Gross. I know just what you are thinking: " What did they look like in person?" Just as beautiful as they do in pictures! Even more, Eva, who was decked out in sky-high platform heels, wide-leg light blue jeans and a beautifully draped tan blouse (with a daring scoop back), turned out to be more of a fashionista than I'd imagined.

Naturally, I had to scoop her up for my weekly style questionnaire. Read our one-on-one interview after the jump.

Bloggers are buzzing over the former Mrs.Raymond's gangsta voicemail to a Canadian journalist about an unflattering blog post. But looking at this photo, you would never guess the drama. As Usher's ex, Tameka Raymond, hammed it up for the paparazzi at a recent Atlanta event, she flashed a sweet smile that belied an alleged fiery temper that some say has ruined her ex-husband's career and his car. This shot of the mom on the red carpet reveals a healthy, happy and very skinny Tameka.

But it's not just the weight loss (am I the only one who remembers her scary plastic surgery moment in Brazil?), it's more so everything else, especially that fabulous dress. The rich purple color simply glows against her skin. The wrap waist accentuates her new figure, and the flirty length plays up her legs. In addition, this divorcee is flexing clear skin, a genuine smile and style so amazing we remember exactly why she was famous before Usher: her career as a celebrity stylist.

I hate to gush, but the last time I saw her she looked...haggard....to say the least. So this is a welcomed surprise! What's led to the transformation though? Is it the divorce settlement? Is it a new love? Or is it new work (of the plastic nature)? Whatever it is, I LOVE it! Really, divorce never looked so good.

Like a snack bar that tides you over between meals, a good pair of tights carries you between seasons. When its too cold to go bare but too warm to bulk up, turn to tights. A good pair of winter weight (thick woolen) ones make short skirts season appropriate and, when they're worn under pants, they can provide a stylish pop of color. This season, American and European runways featured reinvented versions of this winter staple. Chanel gave us lace tights, Cynthia Rowley and BCBG featured shimmer tights while Miu Miu showed tights that were studded with crystals and metal. Free People, one of my favorite contemporary clothing lines, stocks almost all these trends on their website. Check out my top six picks after the jump.

Yeah, that French maid costume is super sexy, but if if you don't have the toned thighs and tummy for that look, it can also be super scary. (I speak from experience, dear reader.) In an attempt to liberate our inner vixen, the good folks who design Halloween costumes seem to have one goal: get you a lot of attention with a little bit of fabric! But on the off chance you don't have rock-hard abs, I've come up with a neat little list of my top six picks for costumes that will flatter and fit.
